Stop repeating yourself. All you want to say is that no-one knows anything. Well you think that's going to stop people from forming an opinion? Everyone has a right to an opinion, so don't you dare be a hypocrite and say otherwise.

Yuuri 21,636
I thought Kesha was now free of her contract with him. Plus if he didn't rape her(it's basically her word vs his) it's still sick not to give her freedom from her contract.

Money is money What an awful argument People are people, and good business practices tend to ignore this fact. Legal sectors and social sectors interact with one another, so obviously people were going to talk about this, and people have appearances to keep up. If he assumed "its my word against hers who's going to believe her? It will blow over", then he was naive and out of touch with reality. Also, he was careless for even taking the risk. At the end of the day It's bad business. The smart business decision would be to let her go. That being said, obviously he is rich and set for life. He has the money and privilege to be able to keep Kesha under his contract AND lose money or potential revenue and social status and basically not give a ****. At this point, continuing to keep her in her contract is just a pathetic attempt at a power play to exhibit ownership over another person. Whether he raped her or not, this says a lot about his character and I wouldn't want to work someone so petty either even if I strongly believed he didn't rape her I tend to hate the phrase "X got what they deserved" because its victim blaming 9/10 times, but even if you take away the very real possibility that he raped a girl, he still literally made a bad business decision and is facing what I and many others believe to be reasonable repercussions, so I don't feel bad at all. The worst part is that he probably doesn't even care 私自身もこの世の中も誰もかれもが, どんなに華やかな人生でも, どんなに悲惨な人生でも, いつかは変貌し, 破壊され、消滅してしまう. すべてがもともとこの世に存在しない一瞬の幻想なのだから
President Trump 3,508
On July 11, 2016 at 0:24 PM, Harry said: To me it's irrelevant. It's the fact that he locked her in such an entrapping contract when she was so young and naive, and now refuses to let her out of it. Despite letting her perform at the BBMAs and sing on that Zedd single (probably to manipulate the public's perception of his control over her), he initially wouldn't allow her to perform at the BBMAs which shows the disgusting level of control he has over her entire career and livelihood. Not only as an artist but just as a human being, that would be more than enough to persuade me to stay away. If she's not allowed to work on her own terms then why should he? F*ck him, honestly. I wouldn't let her perform either. She was likely to perform an anti dr luke song Ma ma pa pa pa
President Trump 3,508
Why is everybody saying he was wrong for not releasing her from the contract? She was in an effing contract. It is not the norm to be released from a contract. It was great and all that people like zayn were released easily but dr Luke by no means had to Ma ma pa pa pa
Raikov 183
People are defensive of Kesha because all the arguments used against her are arguments used against real rape victims as well. Rape is a notoriously difficult crime to try because what distinguishes rape from sex is consent, and unless you have a camera or a tape recorder strapped onto your forehead, how are you going to prove that there wasn't consent? Kesha's case is complicated by the fact that she seemed to be manipulated by Luke in the early stages of her career. Remember what Gaga said at Swinefest? "I thought, oh, this is what adults do." It's not uncommon for sexually assaulted or battered women to protect their abusers. Also, Dr. Luke was not shown to be "not guilty." The case was never taken to criminal court, probably because there wasn't enough hard proof to show that the crime took place. What happened was that a judge refused to break the contract because she didn't think that there were sufficient grounds to claim Dr. Luke and Universal hadn't tried to offer her alternate deals or something like that. The sexual assault was one part of the whole case. He was never on trial. I find it very telling that so many people working in the music industry were quick to support Kesha and speak out against Luke, but very few stood up for him. Working in any industry, you see the same people, news gets around... it's strange that many of the people who would be likely to know him and interact with him could imagine him being guilty. Of course, the court of public opinion isn't a real court, and you can't use this as evidence of anything. But it's strange. Finally, I'm amazed at the lack of empathy some people have for Kesha. Even if Dr. Luke did not assault her, nobody should condone his behavior. Finding young (and therefore easily manipulable) talent and roping them into a restrictive contract may be legal, but it sure as hell isn't the right thing to do. If you read the actual document submitted by Kesha's lawyer, there's a lot of stuff beyond just sexual assault; it's plain and simple control of her life. The evidence (that being the text messages and emails her lawyer talked about), for better or worse, is not available to the public to read. Maybe you think there's not enough evidence to say he's a rapist. I think that's fair enough. But it really hurts to see how so many people are quick to dismiss claims of sexual assault. It's one of the most underreported crimes in United States, and one of the reasons is that people fear they won't be taken seriously.
