Why literally change everything about your artistry? She never even came out with a rap album before going to pop. It seems fishy. I was waiting for some kind of epic breakdown or a rap bridge or something idk it's just lacking something.

Taylor made FOUR country albums before going into pop. It seems like Brooke took the hip hop community style and genre to get popular and somehow decided she'd make pop instead. Before she even had ONE album. It seems very fake and I loathe to use this term, but a lot like cultural appropriation. Human generated art

Sis, she has already 1 mixtape, 4 songs that are not on that mixtape and an official EP and plus one single that are RAP and HIP HOP, plus no one said that her debut album is going to be full of pop songs there will be a mixture of pop and rap. Plus Nicki Minaj also on her debut album has pop and rap songs nobody called her fake because of that

When I was rapping, it was really what I knew to that time, so I used what I knew. For me, it has always been about the message and the music was always secondary. What I understood and what I knew was rap music, so I used that. Then I met Sia and when she came into the picture, she introduced me to a new idea which was putting the music first. And so the music became equally important as the message. She explained to me that if I was willing to change my sound and create something more commercial and more marketable, then I would have an even bigger platform to push the message. To me it was just something that needed to happen! Moreover I am a visual artist. So then I became more able to garner attention and grasp the attention of the audience by my static and by my visual art which was a big factor, too." http://www.idolmag.co.uk/music/talking-happiness-and-change-with-brooke-candy/ buy 'Paper or Plastic' by Brooke candy on iTunes NOW!!
