Gaga said herself she contacted Intel for her own tours/performances. The idea to collaborate for the Grammy's came out of that early communication, but that doesn't mean it will end there.

I don't recall her saying that? receipts? 
If anything Intel released a statement saying they're planning to have a collaboration with the grammys for two years straight and since it's pretty unusual for an artist to sing at said awards two years straight, the Intel performance is probably going to be sung by someone else.

The problem was how they promoted. They really lead all of us to believe what we were going to see would leave us questioning technology itself. Either way, the performance was a beautiful tribute. Ignorance is bliss. If it wasn't mentioned, Niles, I would've never be able to tell something went wrong.
