The fact that this bacteria came from hospital sewage and is now in beaches is a major concern for local residents and not only because of the Olympics. I'm pretty sure other Olympic venues had their share of problems too but weren't as negatively reported on as I've seen with regards to Rio I mean it could be that Rio is indeed a problem but my God this is a mess Edited just now by LebaneseDude. Poor Brazil lol They are not really suddenly coming to light, there has been news on how the Olympics would be a real mess since forever (at least on the national news) but before, in the last couple of years or last few months, there was hope of the things miraculously arranging themselves like in the World Cup but it got alarming when it's literally one month till the Games and the situation actually gets worse and worse and worse... This might be shallow, but I always look forward to new stadiums, new architecture and the opening ceremony. Them just renovating a stadium and having a low budget opening doesnt excite me.
