Daft Punk's Random Access Memories was almost entirely analog and it had a ton of vocoder effects. You can do a LOT with analog.

What do you mean analog? The dictionary definition doesn't make sense in relation to music. Oh, and RAM is one of the best, if not THE best, album of the decade so far

If you ask me, one of the BEST sonic aspects of TF/TFM was Gaga's use of autotune. Of course, she did not "need" it, but it complemented the dance/synth sound perfectly. The overall aesthetic it provided was absolute sonic heaven.

It also became somewhat of the "trademark" sound of her 2008-2011 music.

Do you think we will hear it again on LG5? Or do you think that Ronson's "analog" sound for LG5 means no hint of autotune? And is that what we're REALLY worried about with the impending direction of LG5?

Yes i totally agree , autotunes and effects makes it more perfect on dance songs like just dance , beautiful dirty rich .......

I at least want one track that showcases Gaga's vocal abilities. Kinda like MTN (BTW)has fast high belts, and Fashion!(ARTPOP) has that questionable held note.

that long note in Fashion! is a loop.

I don't mind autotune, but she doesn't actually need it that much... As said earlier it can be a cool effect on some songs and I couldn't imagine them other way, but didn't Gaga say in an interview that she wouldn't use it anymore?

If it adds something good to the music, sure, but if it's just generic autotuning, like some of the ones in ARTPOP that sorta ruined some songs (swine particularly, sexxx dream autotune also made the vocals underwhelming), the no

Hopefully not, remember she said she didn't want to use autotune for ARTPOP but Interscope made her use it to fit the radios better? So if she does it's probably not by her will

I LIVE for pop albums without autotune from the 80's 90's and early 2000's

Autotune isn't bad if you know how to use it, and she uses it to just make her voice sound with a special effect, so yes. Ariana in Into You obviously has autotune but the result is amazing. It's not that they need to end up with a robotic voice because they can't sing.
