She actually sounded amazing at my tour date, the show was high intensity and everyone was turned up, and the album is amazing  Don't judge a tour based on YouTube videos, doesn't get you too far in life.

I don't think this has anything to do with God caring about some Gaga & Rihanna stans fighting on the internet though. Like, it's pretty easy to see that this is all a natural outcome of less commercial sounding album with less megahits than usual (actually only one) & her kind of hurting her own touring reputation with phoning in most of the DWT last time.

Can't speak to her ticket sales, but let's be honest... that see-thru cat walk above the audience is nothing but a busted bootleg version of the artRAVE stage.

Yeah, I'm not seeing where all these "half empty" allegations are coming from. According to the Wikipedia tour page, the North American shows were 93% sold out.

Although there are several dates with sales data missing, which is a little suspect. 

I hardly believe Rihanna was performing to half empty arenas though. Just not realistic and would've been a much bigger news story (on TMZ, etc...) if it were true.

Agreed, Rihanna isn't worried about ANYTHING else the pop girls are doing. She's not even worried about the boys. She's just her own brand of effortless cool. And she can crossover from hip-hop, to nu-R&B, to EDM, to adult contemporary. I mean, there really isn't anyone in the game right now who has had her caliber of success but can simultaneously slay within so many genres and sounds. She's not worried. 

It's insane that she's hotter today than she has ever been, and she's been around 10 years! Same with Beyonce (around 20 years!). How do they do it?! 

Even in the glory days of Janet and Madonna from the prior generation, they were half as popular in the 90's & 00's as their 80's heyday. Even though their fans were there non-stop, their GP momentum could not be sustained. It's insane that Beyonce and RiRi just keep getting hotter.

I'm also not gonna lie... this is my favorite song in AGES. It just gets better and better the more I hear it. 

Especially the 2nd verse. You really hear Calvin Harris' brilliance in the production. The notes change to go slightly darker and it's just... magic.

I think the point is venue. If you rent a stadium, you expect a stadium. If you rent an arena, you expect an arena. If either aren't almost full, your popularity "guesstement" was over par.
