I am tired. Gaga, why?

Maybe I'm having delusions of grandeur, but after reading her Twitter tonight and seeing all the politics of the last few days, I'm actually sitting here thinking that our Little Monster revolt that we led in the wake of the post-Orlando shooting "#VoteHillary" tweet, she is overcompensating by spreading a message of love and political awareness. I don't see anything wrong with it at all --- she's simply between projects and using the opportunity to use her celebrity to incite change that helps people.

However, I completely feel where you are coming from with your OP @Domino. I prefer my politicalGa to be rooted in her music and art. But I also understand how frustrating it must be for someone like her, so artistic and so misunderstood, to now take on a very literal direct message.

We also cannot ignore the political climate in the United States right now. MOST 30 year olds I know are being very outspoken about their desires to enact political change. Gaga is no different, she's just in the spotlight.

Her heart is the same as it always was.

Seems like she would like to have a baby with Dalai. Typical fatuous celebrity. Disgusting.

She's not gonna talk about music again until she's ready to start teasing us/releasing it. She's allowed to talk about what she wants without worrying about her "fanbase." In fact, every time the fan base starts whining about her she tweets something to make sure we don't explode.

lets just say it, you're bored with your life and you're upset Gaga can't help with that right now. Just give it time, or leave, anything else requires too much energy and will only upset you more

I'm bored with my life? More like I'm concerned for her

I'm not bashing her. There's a difference between bashing, and realizing something is extremely off. Did I say she should shut up? Not in the least bit, I said that her methods aren't working. You can judge my post, but the truth of the matter is there to see.

Lately all you do is post negativity about her :toofunny: you might as well tell her to shut up because it's quite obvious you wish she would

Then why is she speaking, and acting like a politician?

She's advocating. Advocating because her fans attacked her for "doing nothing" :emma:

I also believe that @Domino points to a larger issue with PoliticalGa... Most of us long-time fans have always "tuned in" to the Gaga show as our escape from reality. It's our safe place, far far far away from the realities of modern culture.

"We've locked the doors and all the freaks are outside tonight."

But our current Gaga is putting the realities of our culture very literally in our face. It's no longer an escape. It's a reality check. While there is nothing wrong with that (at all), it is a different brand of Gaga than we originally showed up for.

I'm sorry you feel that way, I do. That's fine, I can be quiet about my thoughts, but it doesn't change the fact about what is happening with her. Something is going on, and I don't care what anyone says. It's obvious, and people can be blind to it if they'd like to be.

REALITY

She's turning into the "John Lennon" of our generation, isn't that amazing? I love her posts and talks and overall messages of peace and love and unity.  I honestly don't understand why people are so frustrated with her, people demanding the new album, people feeling like Gaga owes them something.

She's using her voice to project some good into the world, how can't you be happy about this? Would you rather her promote another perfume line? Make news solely off of her love life? "This Gaga" is really incredible and when people—not specifically you, just people in general—say that she may be alienating her fans and that she's taking her fans for granted, I think her fans are taking her for granted. She's done so much and is continuing to do so many other things, yet people focus on the album, focus on other things that yes, while important, are also overall not going to make a huge impact in this world.

She's said time and time again, especially throughout the ARTPOP era to do things that are worth doing for the planet and for humankind in general. This is something that she's doing. While purely talking about peace might not completely change the world, she's only one woman, that's why she's posting things, going to meetings, making videos: she's trying to spread a message about love and peace in hopes that people will follow in her footsteps.

Spoiler

I could discuss the Hillary thing, but I'm sure plenty of people already are, so I'm just going to leave this one out :green:

Another account that comes out of nowhere to start bashing Gaga :emma: give it up and leave us and Gaga alone. It's honestly harassment at this point

I respectively disagree. This isn't how John Lennon was at all. He promoted peace through his actions, and music. He did not do any of this in this form. He was revolutionary. I think everyone is missing the point of this. I'm saying that she's gone a 180 in her direction, and I think it's a mask. If you're an artist, musician, your most effective medium is your ART. I'm saying that I don't understand why she's not using her amazing creative side to spread her message, not politics.

She's not going to stop being preachy and political until after November 8, 2016, then from there depending on who wins she'll release the "good" or "bad" version of LG5.
