But I now realize what she meant when she's talking about White Gays that don't know about LGBTQ History and think its okay to find an entire race of people ugly/unattractive. Homophobia is an issue in the Black community in the same way racism is an issue in the Gay community. There are as many white gays as straight backs who wouldn't be able to identify a picture of Bayard Rustin, or know that the person who organized the March on Washington was gay. Ignorance exists across lines of race, gender, and sexual orientation. Making sweeping generalizations about any minority isn't helpful, and prioritizing clap backs over activism isn't helpful. And I agree. The Black Community is extremely homophobic and there's accurate charts (not sure how updated they are) that state so as well. I'm fully aware of the homophobia and transphobia within the Black Community and I've vented my anger on this subjected because I find it completely mind boggling that Black people wouldn't understand the oppression towards Gays despite the fact that the Black Community have been as mistreated (and worse) solely because they were born Black and that's nothing that we could have controlled. I think the topic of the Black Community and the homophobia + misogyny rooted within the community should be more discussed, as discussed and on par of topics that include the problem with some White Gays. Dominic 11,922
It just sounds like a case of 'Our minority is more important and worse off than yours' Silly competitions about who is oppressed more whilst slamming the 'white man' in the process. Another fruitful discussion. The hardest thing in this world is to live in it

Buddy, they have no right to hijack a gay pride event. They have absolutely no right to hijack a gay VIGIL (a ****ing vigil!) for a bunch of slain gay men and women in Orlando. How does that not piss you the **** off?!?! An FBI report was released after the Orlando shootings that said LGBT people were to most targeted group in America (including black people) with crime and violence and brutality. So I do not know why the F*CK they're up there hijacking OUR f*cking event. BLM has proven time and time again that they are not peaceful, they are not respectful of their allies, and that they are not respectful towards any other community. BLM has proven time and time again that they are the scum of the Earth.
