Well she was in a room filled with mayors and other leaders, I bet her words will make a difference, big or small. This may not get huge headlines, it does reach those who can make a difference. But I do agree her impact could be even bigger if she has more mainstream recognition, but it depends on how people think of her and I believe Gaga is more 'human' to the public and therefor more believable and relatable than back in 2011. Really curious to see the response to her next album now that they dont dismiss her as attention seeking of strange and know a bit more about her. Thats why I think her caring about issues like today means more to her carreer in the long run than it seems.

What she did with the Dalai Lama just wasn't THAT important because it had no real effects, it was conversation that is about problems we are facing, but other than that, it was really nothing more.

In my opinion, she should have gone and do whatever she intended to do with Mark.  

BUT if it was just like a thing where she would greet the audience or something like that, then no..

This is practically a once in a lifetime opportunity for her, I mean, which other pop star do you know has met with the Dalai Lama and speak at the U.S. Conference of Mayors? 

Yeah, it's disappointing to know that she was going to attend Glastonbury, but LG5 will come, it's just a matter of when and really, I'm happy that she's doing things like this: spread some positivity, making changes in the world, being an activist. 

This is why we love Gaga, she does the things that no one else would do and no one else would even think about doing. She's an actress, musician, activist, and so much more.
