Defend her? I'm not worked up about it! This isn't my relationship. It impacts my life exactly zero per cent!

What I'm saying is that you don't know jack **** about a relationship between these two complete strangers.

Lol at the last part of that first paragraph. How dramatic.

And no, I don't know what women who date a man for over a year are "meant to be called". Since I'm not into slut shaming women, I don't buy into those types of implications and labeling.

Yeah, I'm not going to analyze her songs...I'm not twelve. They are songs to sing along to and that's all I care about as far as that goes.

You've defended her before, saying she hasn't constantly dated, that she was on a break just before Calvin and that relationship lasted over a year (a common response from Taylor fans, I might add, not taking into consideration that in mathematical terms, she's still had, on average, one boyfriend a year). So, why aren't you defending her this time?

So, I don't know everything. So, does that mean I have no right to speak about it? This is celebrity culture, there's no need to be so high and mighty like we're in court or something! And it's not too dramatic to say that we'd rarely speak if we only spoke about stuff that was 100% confirmed. No discussion about the beginning of time, religion, philosophy, criminal cases, who stole the last doughnut. We can't talk about anything to could be potentially offensive or anything that we don't have direct experience with. Doesn't leave much room for talking about anything, does it?

I'm not slut shaming her, I'm pointing out her dating pattern, the same way I do for men. Trying to help by offering solutions. If no one's made aware of their mistakes, they're doomed to repeat them. Taylor has repeatedly proved that she doesn't learn from her mistakes.

Wait, analyising songs is for kids now? I thought it was what songwriters, music lovers and professional critics did? Do you just sing along to songs without caring about what the lyrics are? Gotta say, this is the weirdest thing you've ever said. It's hard to take anything you've said about music seriously after that. Never in all my life have I heard anyone say that analysing song lyrics is a childish thing to do, given that it requires intelligence to do such a thing.

You have such strong opinions on someone you don't know personally... and yes, you would need to know her personally in order to analyze herself this much.

You have such strong opinions on her too as a fan, yet you don't know her personally. What's the difference? You're biased, I'm not? And anyone can analyse, not just people who know you personally. What do you think psychoanalysts and psychiatrists do? They take a person they don't know and try to work them out. So, it's possible. I'm honestly surprised that Taylor has fans who actually defend her personality and choices. Liking her music is one thing, but why do you like her as a person? Don't you know a snake in the grass when you encounter one? Can't you see how blatantly fake she is? She's just a mean girl. Yet, she has so many people fooled. What's that phrase: "Mean people don't bother me a bit. Mean people who disguise themselves as nice people bother a lot."

Yes, I've pointed out facts before to people who were slut shaming and spouting innacurate information. One boyfriend a year...lol...that makes most the people I know look like "players".

You asked for clarification on my original comment and that's what I did.

When you make statements like " Because women who go through men as fast as she does are known to be a bit...well, you know.", that is slut shaming.

Cue the dramatics! Im not even responding to that last overly dramatic paragraph.

There is no inaccurate information. She is on her 9th confirmed boyfriend right now. I've looked up the timelines (I included Lucas Till, he's been confirmed, although there's other unconfirmed ones, like the guy from The 1975). Now, this is just the ones that she's been dating since becoming famous. Can you imagine how many she dated pre-fame? Her debut album had break up songs on it. Guessing, I'd say she's had roughly 11 relationships. I don't know what's so inaccurate about that. And having one partner a year is bad, especially when you're approaching 27. And I'm not talking about one night stands or a couple of dates with someone when I say "partners." She has full-blown relationships with every man she is in any way romantically involved with. It isn't normal to go through so many relationships so young.

I know what you meant originally. I'm not stupid.

I wasn't slut shaming. I didn't say she was actually like this. I simply stated the truth - a lot of men, understandably, think certain things about a woman who's dated so many men in such a short period of time, whether it's true or not. Women think it about men too, it's not a double standard. Notice I've never called Taylor a name for dating so many men. I said how it made her look, but I never used the s word or the w word. Even I struggle to go that far considering she seems to want love, marriage and children. But that doesn't mean that her choices don't make her appear another way.

How is that last paragraph overly dramatic? Some people make a LIVING out of analysing lyrics - they're called professional music critics! And you suggested such a thing was for 12 year olds! I thought you were going to admit that you phrased what you said wrong and you didn't mean what you said. Guess I was wrong.

I don't mean it in a "pearl clutching" way, I mean it in a "this person has serious issues" way. She only dates them for about 3 months at a time and moves on super fast after each one, despite claiming to be in love every time and writes songs about people that in the grand scheme of things, can't have meant that much to her. That is not normal. Someone like that needs to address their issues and take a break from dating because they're in a destructive cycle and they'll be seen as a joke by many.

Eh, I've got a ton of friends, family members and aquintances with "serious issues" then. Lol   Oh well, they certainly seem to be happy and are productive members of society. I guess if they weren't okay with their dating life in general, they would stop dating. It is up to the individual, after all, to determine what kind of dating life they prefer to have. I do my thing and they do theirs...and everyone is good! :)

This is full on relationships? Not just "testing the waters" occasional dates or one night stands? Because it is extremely rare for regular people to have so many 'official' relationships by the age of 26. I'm not the first to say: "There's something off about that girl. I can't put my finger on it, but she's strange." People who can only make someone stay for 3 months at the time clearly has baggage and/or is doing something wrong. And you do realise that a lot of people are calling HiddleSwift a showmance, right? Considering that Tom always kept his private life private and now he's going out on public dates every second day? Considering that they've been photographed in places that wouldn't normally have paps waiting around (like a beach in Suffolk, for instance)? Considering that they've conveniently got together at a time when they've both had enough time off work to travel the world together? They've been to Rhode Island, Nashville, London, Suffolk and Rome in less than a month. Considering she's only been with him for that same length of time, it's almost like they...planned this in advance or something. Meaning that there could have been a bit of overlap with him and Calvin. I'm not saying it's a definite showmance for sure, but Taylor could totally be using him as a revenge squeeze to make Calvin jealous. Even by celebrity standards, I have never seen a new relationship paraded around with such excess in my life. It's almost become a game on where they'll be photographed next. At this rate, they'll be in the Royal Box at the Wimbledon final.

Yep, full relationships.

I'm not really much into thinking about it. People date and break up. I just don't care, it's not my relationship or some person in real life I care deeply for.

Well, they're clearly all in that rare minority, then. It's not a normal lifestyle by any means.

But maybe consider it when you admire someone. That maybe they're not the person you think they are. By the sounds of things, it wouldn't affect your love for Taylor's music if you found out she was a horrible person. But would it at least alter your perception of her a bit if she was exposed as being someone who uses men to boost her profile and just so she can have inspiration for her albums? I don't know why it's considered weird to not be a fan of a celebrity when they do stuff that would give them cause to be a social pariah if they were a regular citizen. I treat celebrities no different to any other person I come across in reality. If you're not nice, I can't support you. If you're not nice, you don't deserve success.

Nah, it's normal.

A horrible person physically assaults, rapes, murders...

People dating and breaking up really isn't something I worry about too much.

It's not productive for society if we view such a lifestyle as normal. It's no wonder young people don't think about the dangers of sleeping with people they don't know and marriages are breaking up after a year if we think it's normal to change your partners like you do your underwear.

So, the only horrible people in this world are extreme criminals? What about liars, cheaters, philanderers, users, bullies? They can wreck people's lives and have disgraceful attitudes, are they not horrible people? I think someone who uses people that they date for their own ends and then have the cheek to diss them afterwards are horrible people. Taylor fits that category. I notice, by the way, that you were assuming the worst of Calvin, but not of her. She really can do no wrong in your eyes, can she? The truth about her is slowly coming out. But I think, even if it does fully expose her once and for all one day, you fans will still say it's inaccurate.

Those damn young people...they need to get off my lawn!!

Lol, only said that about Calvin due to his little outing at the "massage" place. Even then, if was between him and Taylor. Maybe he was innocent and really had a backache ;) or maybe he apologized and committed himself to the relationship. Maybe they had an open relationship. Like I stated in my first comment, no one knows except for the actual two people who were involved in the relationship.

Lol, I'm cracking up at how wound up you are about these strangers' dating relationship. Sorry, but I just can't get worked up over it all. I'm more concerned about my dinner tonight, tbh. I gotta go check on that! Peace out! :unicorn:
