So saying, this is probably ultimate karma for Calvin after the way he treated Rita Ora. She's probably cackling somewhere right now (though I don't like her either, but it's still karma at the end of the day). Its taken the wind out his sails, that's for sure. He became so arrogant after his big transformation but now his ego has been knocked for six. I never thought I'd say this, but I'm on his side, ultimately. At least he's real and doesn't attempt to manipulate.

I've noticed that this really hasn't been Taylor's year. Everything has gone wrong for her. From January to now, Out of the Woods and New Romantics flopped, Kanye made a disparaging lyric about her on his critically acclaimed album, she only won 1 out of 8 Billboard awards, her boyfriend was in a car crash and she had to cancel her performance at the show to be with him, she then splits up with the man who she's endured her longest relationship with, she gets called a manipulative ***** by the world after hooking up with Tom so soon after her breakup and is accused of staging the photos of them kissing, Kim Kardashian called her a liar for claiming that she was unaware of the Kanye lyric and demanded that the conversation of her giving her permission be destroyed and now Calvin is suggesting on Twitter that she broke up with him to be with Tom. Is a Taylor backlash finally happening, a proper one this time? Her good girl image is crumbling and about time too. I'm honestly shocked men still want to date her at this point. It's like, they have heard Blank Space, right?

taylor isn't the first celebrity to do this and she won't be the last. there's tons of couples in hollywood who are told to go out and act like they're in love and whatnot whether it be because they're assigned to a contract that says so, or for the sake of fan service. 

it seems that Calvin wasn't aware of that though, so shady on Taylor and her team's part. whenever i see a celebrity get into a relationship as soon as they break up with their ex, i assume it's because the relationship itself wasn't anything outside of pap walks and going to events together. normal people don't get with another person a few days, a week, two weeks after breaking up with a person they were with for a while. unless you have attachment issues and think you need to be with someone  

tldr: Public relations are a relevant thing in Hollywood, despite whoever says it isn't.

If she was a regular civilian, her status would be very different.

I don't think that you or I or anyone else except Taylor and Calvin know what was going on in this relationship. Maybe he has been cheating like before or he is a controlling asshole and she was ready to move on. Maybe they have been on and off again for a while. Who knows? 

Im sure they will both be fine. They are young, wealthy, famous, beautiful individuals who will move on to find another person to date or someone else to love one day. It's not like they were married with children or together for a decade. Breaking up sucks, but it isn't some life or death situation here.

I notice how you make no attempt to defend her honour after what I just said. So, can you really not defend her at all? Are you therefore admitting that I've got it right? As you've probably guessed I'm not exactly a "we don't know, so we can't speculate" person. This is celebrity culture. We can speculate all we like without worrying about being moralistic about it. Takes all the joy out of the whole thing if you just stay quiet and don't submit an opinion unless evidence is 100% proved either way. If we took this attitude throughout all of life, everybody would barely speak.

Well, I'll at least admit that Taylor still isn't as bad as some celebrities. There are ones who get married to every single person they date and/or have children with every person they date, I'd be even harsher on her if she did those things. So, at least her breakups have minimal impact on all involved (well, depending on how minimal you view a diss track on a hit album). But her way of dating still makes her look bad and I question any man who dates her, knowing her track record. I do sometimes wonder if they do it just to see if she's loose. Because women who go through men as fast as she does are known to be a bit...well, you know. And they just want to, for lack of a better term, 'try her out.' That line in Blank Space: "Ain't it funny, rumours fly and I know you heard about me," certainly sounds as if she knows that she may be acquiring a bit of a reputation as easy. If these guys are attempting to use her in that way, that's a shame. But if she uses them and purposely pursues the wrong guys and isn't a saint in these relationships either, well, I can only feel so sorry for her.

I can only admit that even I love a bad girl who has the world fooled, that she is pristine. Taylor needs more layers than she presents for the world, to keep interest and her money rolling in, she is getting too old for her baby songs to keep working, so maybe this is a great thing for her image.

Defend her? I'm not worked up about it! This isn't my relationship. It impacts my life exactly zero per cent! 

What I'm saying is that you don't know jack **** about a relationship between these two complete strangers.
