Actually that is one of the reason, when a film is likely to be or are already big, they will announced it years in advance for the project either new or sequels to send signals to other production house to stay away, cos that very date have been claimed. Unless they wanna try their luck against, say, Star Wars, or Avengers, or Avatar, or any Fisney's animation, they better steer clear and rescheduled. Too predictable though, Emma can breathe new life into a classic character, that's what makes remakes so damn successful due to their postmodern nature.
