Does anyone know the name of a french female indie pop singer who has a music video where she is dancing on a giant box? Female Stromae kind of vibe? I saw the video a while ago and can't quit remember who she is. Can anyone help? Christine & The Queens. The song could be Saint-Claude.

The word "queer" is hundreds of years old, but the earliest use of "queer" meaning "homosexual" is in the 1920's. It was a pejorative we recently reclaimed. SirLudicopro 1,351
Yas queen of Quebec #2 (after Celine of course) pull through! I'm glad she could accept herself as she is, it takes a lot of courage. I'm not that familiar with her work (except for a few songs), but I also liked her as a person and this makes me like her even more!

However, in the beginning of her career, she was very awkward on stage and in interviews, but she became much more confident over the years. I thought that it was because she was just getting used to being famous. But now, I'm pretty sure that the reason is that, in fact, she became more and more accepting of her "queerness", leading to the intense dancing we have nowadays. Can't wait for what's to come now that the coming out is done

It's still a word that has existed and been used for hundreds of years, it's not a 2016 invention by tumblr users as some people believe.

One day, when you realize you aren't as smart as you think you are, you will look back and cringe with embarrassment over the times you shamed other people for not knowing things you know. 13 minutes ago, neptugne said: It's still a word that has existed and been used for hundreds of years, it's not a 2016 invention by tumblr users as some people believe. Considering the conversation in this thread is about the word queer as it relates to sexuality, saying that the word queer has existed for hundreds of years is meaningless. You didn't have to be a **** to that kid. 2 minutes ago, CrazyMonster said: That's why Lady Gaga should have released Out Of Control. He did not say self-expression of sexuality is getting out of hand, he literally said "these acronyms are getting out of control", which is a sentiment virtually every LGBTQQIA person who doesn't have a tumblr account agrees with. Acronyms aren't supposed to look like a bowl of ****ing Alphabet Soup. Acronyms are supposed to make things easier, not be half the alphabet. Look at the way user JDi responded to him, and look at the way you responded to him, and you will understand why you're a ****.
