That's for the narrow minded viewers of Fox News. 

Currently, around sixty per cent support a ban. I imagine it would be a very high percentage for bans for those on the watch list.

I saw her show yesterday, she is very much a conservative republican and yet she came out and said this. I respect her for not taking the easy route that the anchors of The Five and Outnumbered took.

Yas Gretchen! They NEED to reinstate it imo. What else are assault rifles used for, other than mass murder? Handgun, self defense, I support it. Hunting guns (the sniper-y ones), sure. But these guns need to be gone.

1. Many millions of so-called "assault weapons" already in civilian hands. Hundreds of thousands more sold each year. This was not the case in 1994 when the first Assault Weapons Ban came into effect. How will a ban on future sales stop any mass shootings when there are already so many weapons circulating? Next shooter would just buy used, borrow from a friend, or steal from a family member.

2. Mass shootings don't require so-called "assault weapons". The second deadliest shooting took place at Virginia Tech, 33 people dead, 23 wounded. The shooter used a regular 9mm Glock and a .22 pistol.

3. There already was a ban on so-called "assault weapons", it lasted a decade. We have lots of data to study its effects. The conclusion? It had no discernible effect on gun violence in America.

All the stuff you'd use just about any rifle for? You think people purchase these guns to the point it's the country's best-selling, most popular rifle... and then go "hey, I can't think of anything to use this for" and leave it to collect dust?

I am all for Trump and am a Republican but these past few days I have done some research on assault weapons and am now all for the ban of them. No one needs a gun that can fire 50 bullets per minute, you are just asking for a mass shooting since it is so easy to get.

All the stuff you'd use just about any rifle for? You think people purchase these guns to the point it's the country's best-selling, most popular rifle... and then go "hey, I can't think of anything to use this for" and leave it to collect dust?

.Hunting, varminting, pest control and wilderness protection are pretty much the same thing, and if you cant do all of them with a simple pistol youre just a bad shot, 

-Home defense, unless youre being invaded by like 30 robbers at the same time, you dont need an assault rifle for that

-Both competitions as well as recreational shooting can be done at controlled places, no need to take the gun home.

- Collecting? do it with disabled weapons, and still, unnecesary

-investment, thousand of other ways to invest your money that dont put people's lives at risk.

-you can shoot long range prairie dogs with a pistol? Show me. By the way most countries regulate pistols more strictly than rifles.

Here in Canada you can hunt with this and it doesn't need to be registered or anything:

-gun ranges are not secure storage facilities. They're often in the middle of nowhere because neighbours don't like noise, which is why people don't leaves anything valuable there.

1-some people can, and it not a human necessity to shoot long range prairie dogs for fun, so nah

2.- other than a pistol for the once in a lifetime house invader, no you dont need guns

3.-competition and recreational shooting in controled places.. what does it have to do with the fact that theyre in the middle of nowhere? if theyre not secure storage facilities then dont store them there, still doesnt mean that taking them home is a better option

4.- other than maybe cars, most of all collectable stuff like stamps, antiques, art, is non-functional, and if you want to collect something like a gun, using it actualy drops its price, nothing like a brand new unused gun.

It is, actually, they create holes all over the place which damage crops and can break the legs of horses and cattle.
