Because he just gained a buttload of support after the attack. Saw it for myself. Hillary Clinton took 25 million dollars from Saudi Arabia, a country that gives public lashes to gay people. Why isn't she being questioned by the gay community for her constant support of countries that oppress gays? Trump just wants to keep folks safe. He did say months ago more attacks would happen. He, Alex Jones and others that I follow said clubs and anywhere else where people wouldn't likely have a gun would be targeted. He can sound arrogant but he's really wanting folks to see that he was telling the truth and that people need to wake up. Six more cities are on a list of being targeted. Wake up from your fantasy world, terrorists wont give a **** about passports, there are hundreds of ways of sneaking into the country, for the millionth time, and Im not even saying becaue of elections or the fact that I support Hillary, even if it was her plan, you have to realize, a ban WILL NOT WORK AND IT WILL MAKE THINGS WORSE,

I heard on that radio today that instead of banning all Muslims, now he's planning to ban people immigrating from countries with "a proven history of terrorism". So people who may want to flee countries where their lives are in danger will be turned away. The people who need to escape their homeland most will be sent back to a place where they are at risk of being killed in a terrorist attack. I feel sorry for those people- at a time when they need support, one of the supposedly strongest nations in the world is willing to turn its back on them. I did. It's the same logic and they both have to due with this topic. So tell me why you think a gun ban will stop terrorist from getting weapons, but a ban on people entering the country from high-threat areas wouldn't solve the problem? We could at least focus on the threats already at home. Why add more to the fire?

Why should we only focus on the large events and pretend the smaller ones don't matter as much? A hundred people each killing 10 civilians and ten people each killing 100 civilians both result in 1,000 deaths - so why only point our finger at one side of that equation? You said "homegrown terrorists are extremely rare," and that statement is incorrect. They are MORE common than eastern-grown terrorists, they just are involved in the "smaller" acts of terror. Had you said "homegrown terrorists don't kill on as large of a scale," you'd be correct, but that's not what you said. I'm more likely to be bombed walking into Planned Parenthood for a pap smear than I am when I walk past my middle-eastern neighbors- that's a fact.
