You could use any era to compare her to Madonna because Madonna has done everything. You could even use Cheek To Cheek to compare her to Madonna. Some of the comparisons in this image are reaching. (yeah right). are you really that desperate for a hit thread or are you just plain ignorant? she was listening to rock and (heavy) metal when growing up, her favorite song is thunder road by bruce springsteen, ffs. haven't you seen her countless t-shirts with the logos of her favorite bands? haven't you watched the countless interviews in which she explained that she is a rock/metal type of girl? where were you when she talked about the beginning of her pop career with fusari? it was explicitly stated that initially she was going for a rock aesthetic but then they decided to change it to pop. yes, musically, it was BTW that managed to really shed light on her rock/metal roots. however, let's not forget that she identified as a female rock star even during TF/M era. if you had done your research, which you clearly didn't, you'd know that boys, boys, boys is a homage to one of her favorite rock/metal band, mötley crüe. try harder next time when trying to drag gagz. if you hurt taylor swift, i'll hurt you back
AJH219 4,448
I have truly never gotten the impression Gaga is/was heavily influenced by Madge. 'All our dreams can come true IF we have the courage to pursue them'-Walt Disney

She was obviously inspired by rock stars and anyone who is actually a rock fan would have noticed that since the beginning. I couldn't have said it better. To me Gaga always had this rock spirit in her. Even at the beginning, when I started listening to her songs, watching her performances and all, I felt it. She has a way to sing, write, play and act that is completely rock, even when she does pop music. The only GGD member who can read / Credits to Celloo Deng for the profile pic!
