I agree. We need a TEMPORARY ban on Muslims entering the country. Gun control will not work

It shouldn't be about their faith or ethnicity that profiles them.  It should be where they are from, how dangerous it is, and their background based on their actions, not their lifestyle, what they believe, or their culture. If this was discussed in a more sound And logical manner, it would make sense to at least consider the options, but those politicizing this tragedy like Trump, Hillary, Obama, or other politicians need to exercise restraint out of respect for the grieving families from this incident. Just my two cents.

Stand in the light, cast your shadow.

So from your link

there is no death penalty for homosexuality in majority of muslim countries (opposite of what you just said)

No death penalty in

Algeria, Maldives, Malaysia, Qatar, Somalia and Syria (tho it's illegal and parts of Somalia and Syria are in war, under control of terrorist groups)

Same-sexxx sexual intercourse is legal in 20 Muslim-majority nations (Albania, Azerbaijan, Bahrain, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Burkina Faso, Chad, Djibouti, Guinea-Bissau, Lebanon, Iraq (doesn't count under ISIS) Jordan, Kazakhstan, Kosovo, Kyrgyzstan, Mali, Niger,Tajikistan, Turkey, West Bank (State of Palestine), and most of Indonesia (except in Aceh and South Sumatra provinces, where by laws against LGBT rights have been passed), as well as Northern Cyprus).[16][17]

In Albania, Lebanon, and Turkey, there have been discussions about legalizing same-sexxx marriage.[18][19] Homosexual relations between females are legal in Kuwait andUzbekistan, but homosexual acts between males are illegal.[20][21][22][16]

Nice how you skipped everything and justified Russian people not changing their society and government. Hypocritical.

You said the problem is in people - "THEY are dangerous" (generalization) "because they don't give a **** what their government does" - these are your words.  It can be applied to any other non-Western nation too.

Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan for example are not officially islamic countries. But the amount of countries doesn't change anything.

Those laws are still there, and still in islamic countries only, and those laws are still backed by the religion

I'm not defending russian government, but it's obviously not as bad here as in those countries listed

In case you weren't aware the shooter was a US CITIZEN born here. Banning Muslims is not going to stop these shootings from happening. SMH.

I'm generalizing a bit here but...

When will we ban white people? Look at Sandy Hook, Colorado, the churches that were burnt down, the shooting in SC, violence against blacks/LGBT (for decades now). I'm not trying to lessen ISIS or any perceived radical Islamist presence here in the states, but there has been so more done against others here in the USA by white people. And I'm certainly not trying to generalize here. I mean like white supremacists, homophobes, racists, etc that happen to be white. Why are those groups not being held accountable? I'd like to hear your respectful opinions.

On another note, Trump doesn't understand that this terrorist was born and raised here in the states. If you want to ban ISIS from entering the US or having any contact with people, you'd have to ban the internet. That's how they're getting into the minds of these young people. However, that'll obviously never happen. And again, you can't ban a Muslim person... We all know that Trump and his followers mean profiling the individual. Any race can be Muslim.

it doesn't matter if they are not officially, they have islamic history and majority of population are muslim. Even if they have puppet governments.

The point is that you generalize and put the blame on the people for not taking action and changing, so that according to you means they agree with everything their dictatorship governments do, when in fact showing opposition and even protesting for human rights can result in civil war.

And even if other countries are "less bad", they are still bad, so if the people are not changing they're all held accountable. It doesn't make sense.

Well if civil war is not the answer, then western governments must do something with ISIS and dictators. Destroying ISIS seems something Trump would do, and it's what Putin does. I'm not sure if Hillary would do that

Putin is defending the dictator Assad and bombing hospitals, among other things.

Don't know about hospitals, maybe

But he seems the only one really fighting against them. We all should agree with Trump that Assad is not as dangerous as ISIS

I'm a democratic person, but Obama not doing anything about ISIS is just confusing. He is now finding excuses for their crimes, that's just "WHAT?!"

So Trump seems to be the better of two evils

Do you understand that this tragedy was going to happen with or without the ban? He was a citizen, he was already here and no one could deport him.

Last time I checked a white American murdered Christina Grimmie, a white American murdered three people outside of Planned Parenthood, a white American killed 9 black people at the Charleston Church, a white American murdered 12 people at a movie theater in Aurora... White Americans seem to be a big problem too.

Domestic terrorism is a bitch.

The media and politicians like to pretend radical Islam is this huge threat when more people were killed last year on American soil by toddlers with guns (21) than possible Islamic terrorists (19). Source for those that would question those not very surprising numbers.

I wonder if this shooting will be included in this year's numbers?

it's not maybe, he does

Assad killed over 200.000 of his own people. He's not "lesser evil", Syrian lives matter, he's a monster. And Russia bombs those who fight against him and civilians.

Trump might use a nuke, are you for that? Just wipe them all off? Idgi what are you exactly suggesting.

Trump won't use nuke. He may seem to be idiot, but he's not. There are other ways

And well, there's nothing we can do about Putin's actions. I myself fought against the police at anti governmental meetings. Our leaders just get arrested for literally just standing there, elections are falsificated. Sad, but at least he fights against ISIS…

Ethereal Mess

By banning all muslims from entering the U.S., you'd be banning people who might be seeking better life opportunities in a community that they believe is superior to their own (clearly they're wrong given the events occurring lately)-- there's a reason people immigrate to other countries:smh: And to those of you who are claiming that the Orlando shooter was driven by the homophobia in Islam, his family stated that he had no connection to his faith, and yes he may have shouted ISIS or whatever, but ISIS does NOT represent Islamic in any way. Those hooligans only taint Islam's image, and they do not abide by Islam's laws as they claim. Islam does not condone any of their behavior, as killing an innocent for any reason besides self defense (if you don't have any other option) is a sin. Muslims comprise around 23% of the world's population, and do you seriously believe that banning all of them is sagacious? And even if that does happen, it will not prevent attacks from taking place. What you need is stricter gun laws. And oh people need guns because they wanna practice their hobby of hunting? Then maybe these people can be handed a hunting gun when they enter a hunting range and they can hand it back in when they are done. People won't need guns for self-defense either if NOBODY has guns. Owning a gun is not a right or a personal freedom, it is simply a method of inflicting terror on other people. Completely unnecessary and can be avoided, although not as easily but over time it can be achieved. :D
