In this situation, this bill would have definitely prevented this man from purchasing a firearm.

Omar Mateen was not on a terror watch list. He was added to the list briefly in 2013, then taken off after the FBI investigated and found nothing.

Did you know that 51% of British Muslims believe that being gay should be against the law? Of course those sick evil scum that committed those horror acts such as Sandy Hook, Columbine and Oklahoma should be dealt with too, but we are up against an ideology that spreads from Iraq to Britain and has now infiltrated the United States.

Statistics show that every SINGLE hour a person is brutally murdered by the hands of Islamic terrorism. From Jun 04, 2016 - Jun 10, 2016,  IN one week we have had 54 attacks, 420 killed, 412 injured, 7 suicide blasts with 15 countries affected.

Christianity is the biggest religion that opposes gay rights. I just find it odd that the KKK and other men can mass kill but it's never seen as terrorism unless it's a Muslim...

You refer to Milo? Because he is a British citizen? How does it gives him any credentials, that guy is a failed "journalist" that lives on sensationalism, just check his basic stances on feminism "as cancer" he loves to hate and provoke but he has O argument... Maybe if you had a less biased source your argument would hold but Milo is like :toofunny: sorry but this can't be taken seriously on a subject like Radical Islam in Britain! You talk about the mosques, how is it a problem that they may hate on gay when Christian churches do it as well? It's also in the Bible, how come we aren't applying the same standard to them and not consider them as extremist? And trust me I don't like radical islamist, and I think the way they use a book to preach hate is ridiculous, there is a big issue but at the same time you can't just focus on them while ignoring Christians and not even mentioning the current political context over there which plays a huge part.

It's in the bible but how many massacres do you know of Christians committing right now in the name of Jesus? Please link because I have about 100 plus to link on radical Islamic terrorism right now. If some of you choose to believe it doesn't exist, I guess that's one you.

Christians have done their fair share of violence, but their religion isn't living in an age where they oppress women and gays. I dare you to go to any of these Muslim dominated countries and preach the gospel of Christ. Just try it and see what happens to you. If you come back alive and well I guess what I read and hear has been staged.

Bolded part, majority victims of terrorism, doesn't this make you think about your stance? Gangs and mafia in Latin America are Christians/Catholics who often torture and behead people, terrorize communities etc. The terror, hate and crimes against humanity don't have religion or creed.

Killing innocent people in ME by drones, blowing them up to pieces is not any more humane, just saying.

Double standards. You just complained about what some mosques are preaching. Inciting hate leads to these crimes.

I myself and countless others have already acknowledged that Christians have committed horrendous acts in history, but despite anything Christians have done I think they have come a long way compared to the religion of Islam.

But once again, and I will say again........my issue is with many people not calling it Islamic terrorism, not facing the facts that these mosques do indeed tell their members GAY people deserve death! I don't know any Christian churches that do this. Not to say they don't exist but  -

We already know that Clinton's team stopped investigation on his Mosque because they didn't want to discriminate.

We know people who knew Mateen were too afraid to turn him in because they didn't want to sound bigoted toward Muslims.

We know he was investigated for having radical ties but they let him go. WHY? Right now if you make an insult on twitter you can have your account suspended, but not Mateen.

You guys want to prove that Islamic terrorism is equal to the crime rates in America or the mafia? I guess you can move to Syria and let me know how that works out for you! There's no denying mafia kill. OK so how is that going to stop more people like Mateen and the teachings he was brought up on?  Should we just leave the situation alone and leave the mosques alone, allow more refugees to come in, stop investigations on these people. Just let it play out and if another 50 people are murdered in the name of ALLAH just accept it as normal life in America?

Radicals who shoot up abortion clinics for 2016, anybody have stats on that one?  During the last 30 days I do know there were 209 Islamic attacks in 30 countries, in which 2133 people were killed and 2033 injured.

In 11 countries gay people are executed as government policy under Islam. I think this religion has a serious problem.

Shadow

I doubt people will ever see eye to eye on these issues, but tough calls need to be made to safeguard life as much as possible. People like to expose the bias of others, yet carry their bias with them in the process. That's fine, most developed nations have freedom of speech and opinion. It is great to have that freedom. If we treasure that alone, not to mention protecting our families or friends from harm who could be the potential targets of these radicalized recruits domestic and abroad, that ought to bring people together enough to resist these attacks or keep them from happening.

It's a different kind of war, a war of mindsets and cultures, where words and influence are the weapons to sway minds to one extreme or another. There has to be focus and compromise to come up with viable solutions we can all agree on, otherwise people will keep dying and not always from the barrel of a gun while the Western world continues to get more divided and weakened as all great empires or civilizations before. However, could we raise our heads beyond the talking points and gain the foresight to recognize where we are headed?

It's too easy to villify people you disagree with and think they're all ignorant, people have their positions for a reason, the environment that got them there. People all manage their fear, stress, and anger in numerous ways, but the key is to channel it in positive and logical ways, with a clear head and an open mind with common sense.

Banning immigrants will definitely not work, Trump's failure and shortsightedness of grasping this complex issue is clear. With that being said, does anyone have better ideas? And think through it, because the challenges are massive. Is there no solution?

Stand in the light, cast your shadow.

When they did, they were still considered Christians... But no one thinks of white slave owners as terrorists (the ones who killed). But we must blame all Muslims for the actions of few? That's ignorant and the reason why America is become more and more hated by other countries.

Also, didn't a pro-life Christian shoot up a Planned Parenthood clinic?

https://www.lifesitenews.com/opinion/the-co-planned-parenthood-shooting-was-directly-related-to-the-christian-pr

But then again there are sites denying this.

http://www.lifenews.com/2015/11/30/the-colorado-planned-parenthood-shooter-is-not-pro-life-and-pro-life-people-are-not-extremists/

Regardless, majority of mass shooters are white men. If we are going to profile, we might as well profile white males. Sandy Hook, Charleston, Aurora, etc.

http://www.cnn.com/2015/06/27/us/mass-shootings/

Even though there isn't a network, people are motivated to commit heinous acts for various reasons. However, there is a trend in the US among young, white males. So, if we are going to profile then we should actually profile the most likely demographic.

P.S. This isn't a matter of being liberal or conservative, though there is a bit of a trend--I'm sure--when it comes to such topics as this. There are both stupid and smart people on each end of the spectrum. You summing up all liberals is ridiculous and counterproductive.

No but there are Christian run places like Kenya, Uganda, and several other African countries where people are imprisoned or killed for being gay. Usually after being humiliated and tortured. All in the name of God and common decency.

I don't like that you guys are giving Islam the "credit" for being anti-gay when the Quran (just like the Bible) preaches love and tolerance along side hate and bigotry. It's not the religion killing people, it's the imbeciles who cherry pick their religious text, taking out all the stuff about leaving it up to God and loving your neighbor but keeping the things that let them "justify" their hateful ways and actions.

We didn't call it radical Christianity when a Christian white supremacist shot and killed 6 people in a Sikh temple in 2012.

Or when a prominent Muslim doctor's abortion clinic was firebombed in 1983, 7 years before he was shot and killed by a white Christian woman. We'll just include the dozen or more abortion clinics bombed and abortion doctors killed by Christians "doing God's work" with this one.

Or when a white Christian man shot up a children's play at a church, killing two and injuring seven, because he hated Liberals, Democrats, and gay people.

Or when a Christian man flew his plane into an IRS building in Austin, Texas in 2010, killing two. Republicans actually joked about this one on air.

Islam is not the problem, just like Christianity isn't the problem. Religion is just an idea. An invisible tool people use to give some logic to their own actions. Muslims used it in Arizona to give I believe around 50,000 dollars to the victims of the Orlando shooting. They used Islam and Allah's love to give their support and condolences to the families here. The same god that they worship, the one that tells them to give more than they take and to love at all times, is the same god ISIS and others use to justify their bullsh*t. It's not fair to the people who do good to tell them that their faith is the issue. Because it's not. When we do that, it has the added benefit of providing extremist groups the propaganda they need to "prove" the U.S. hates them and all Muslims. That makes radicalizing even more oppressed and poor people that much easier. We're literally shooting ourselves in the foot here.

But let me stop. I could go on about this for ages 'cause I've seen the beautiful and ugly sides of Christianity with my own eyes all of my life :emma: There's one thing I can assure you - if Christians were given the kind of power that Muslims hold in their countries, you'd be seeing identical things happening. It just might be a firing squad rather than being tossed off a building.

Alive, active, and doing well in the U.S. They've cut back on the violence seeing as abortions are practically impossible to get these days. Yet they're still willing to commit horrible acts like murder and bombings (and have done so in the past). A Christian group who is filled with "warriors for God and warriors for babies".

I 100% believe that, given the opportunity, a "radical Christian" group would act in the same way as any "radical Islamic" group. Now do you think it's fair to blame Christianity for the Army of God? To have all Christians bear the weight of the people they've killed? Or to ban all Christians from entering the country? No.

Btw, no one click on that link. They have pictures of aborted fetuses on their home page...yeah that image will be in my head for a while :/
