Wow...

Yusufiy told the Washington Post Mateen was abusive.

“He was not a stable person,” she told the Post. “He beat me. He would just come home and start beating me up because the laundry wasn’t finished or something like that.”

She said they met online and he “seemed like a normal human being,” but was “very private.” She said he wasn’t very religious and worked as a guard at a facility for juvenile delinquents.

But when he became abusive, her father flew down to Florida and pulled her out of the house. She said her parents saved her life.

and nobody ever clocked that he might be in need of mental help :(

There is not Christian nation on the planet where being gay is punishable by death. That is the NORM is Muslim majority countries (or torture). How can you defend this?! Islam breed homophobia in a way Christianity or another other religion does not and that is a fact.

Nowhere in my post did I defend this act. I'm just simply pointing out the double standard here. But sure, keep to your ignorant self! :rockstar:

I never said you were a Trump supporter? And also I think you are wrong about it not being respectful or the right time to discuss. Like we can only say this here: 'RIP, my condolences, etc, ...'? An attack like this has huge consequences on society, so my reaction does belong here.

you see, even I didn't understand you..:laughga:

yeah of course, you can, but look how this topic became, a total mess.. and the victims became just a number and has been left in the shadows.. it's better to wait one day, the victims didn't even have their funerals, the blood is not dry yet..

But if people can't wait, I think it's better to open a new topic and discuss about it there..

maybe I'm too emotional I don't know..

So sploosh your juice all over me you Riverboy

yeah, i mean we just shrugged him off and blamed the alcohol but i didn't base the whole community on that experience alone :gaycat: i used to have a bunch of gay friends back before the tumblr PC correctness storm but they all gave me a lot of **** for not joining in and for being a "white cis male" and such, which is another incident on the list of reasons why i just can't engage with the community like that anymore :wtf:

i don't know, as long as i'm happy, i don't care to be in any form of community as such, that's just me :duck:

I don't blame you for not wanting to be involved, it's understandable. I know it's not for everyone. I'm not active on 'the scene' either. I just don't think it's fair to judge the whole community and idea of pride when most people are not like that at all

Oh, I see. Although that's completely irrelevant to what I said originally.

Islamic extremism is not excuse by Christian extremism. And is a much bigger problem worldwide. But yet, it's the only form of terrorism that is treated as no biggie by certain, very liberal populations.

It's not a "no bighie" problem. I just don't like ****ing like it when people discriminate against a whole group for the acts of a few. If you can separate Christianity from the WBC and atheism from Nazis, then you should be able to separate Muslims from ISIS.

And that's coming from a complete agnostic :air:

Just like Christians have been in the past and have been able to get away with plenty of bigotry. So what's your point?

Then why it's illegal to be gay in the whole islamic COUNTRIES? They are punished by death, and not by ISIS, by their government

Well you should brush up your history  It's largely due to Western colonization that Qur'anic laws were codified in the style of Western judicial systems. Before this colonization these penalties were only rarely carried out, same s*x behavior being notoriously widespread and culturally (and politically) tolerated.

I'm quite frustrated seeing these comments when they could so easily be removed if people chose history over lazy prejudice.
