AJH219 4,448
Hello fellow GGD Monsters, just dropping a note to say I'm safe and sound physically. Emotionally, I'm wrecked. I woke up to this horrific news this morning and immediately broke down in tears. It has been a scary weekend in Orlando. Please, instead of bitching back and forth, just send us positive vibes. There's already so much hate spewing today, let's not spread anymore. <3 'All our dreams can come true IF we have the courage to pursue them'-Walt Disney

"how will this effect my favs chances of winning? oh no" interesting. not sure if i should be disgusted by that or just realize that this is how it will always be. everyone looking for who or what to blame and wanting to spin it to their ideology's favor. i suppose its understandable. press conference at 10:15 . cant imagine how the families feel. this is going to traumatize the gay community in orlando now. Some people in this country actually care about both. Some care about who is the President, due to the fact that they know that it will have an impact on human rights for decades. This isn't some crazy pop girl fight...many people don't have a "fave", but a choice for the future. There are multiple things to think about here, including gun laws, security, counterterrorism, political ramifications...along with feeling concern and sorrow for those directly involved and impacted by this trajedy. With this law, I wouldn't be able to donate. So sad, maybe this a time to finally abolish this homophobic law. Before last year, gay men weren't allowed to donate at all it was just recently "modified".

You know a lot of gay people in the area are likely wanting to donate and they're getting turned away.
