Im a Muslim and he did not ban Muslims based on their race/religion.. he wanted to ban entrance from muslim countries not because he doesnt want muslims but its because the biggest terrorist group in the world is present in these countries and threatened America by using the refugee crisis to sneak people in! So true Before people call him a racist, look at his actual policies first. He has never been racist to Muslims or Mexicans. He only said that Illegal Mexicans bring crime over and we should secure our border with a wall, which is partly true, some Illegal Mexicans do bring drugs and crime over the boarder. And for those who say he is racist, Hillary also said that we need a "barrier" to protect our border. The temporary ban on Muslims entering the country was greatly described above.

But this whole thing of Trump becoming "open" reminds me of last fall, during the Canadian elections, when Stephen Harper had started to go on comedic TV shows towards the end of the campaign. Looks like some people are really desperate to be at the head of their government

Watch the Trump supporters use this to say "See! He's not racist, stupid leftists!" as if a planned speech about how we shouldn't judge based on color erases the fact that Trump LITERALLY did that not even a month ago.

EDIT: And I do believe his comments about Mexicans has been grossly misinterpreted and misquoted. He was specifically referring to criminals that cross the border when he made the speech that people use to say he thinks Mexicans are "rapists" - it's really ridiculous how people have twisted that, because he was indeed specifically referring to criminals who cross the border, not all Mexicans and not all Mexican immigrants. 

However, if someone is going to be President they do need to be smarter about how they choose their words. 

Secondly, while the ban on Muslims can be seen as him protecting us from terrorism, the fact is that singling out an entire group of people based on only one thing- that they are Muslim- is a problem. If you want to protect people do so equally and just say we are not accepting immigrants at this time unless they can be properly vetted instead of calling Muslims the problem. That paints such a gross picture of an ENTIRE group of people, many of which are not going to be terrorists at all but rather are fleeing FROM terrorists. 

LASTLY it's been proven that his ****ing wall will be a waste of money that doesn't stop people from getting in illegally or stop criminals from entering the US, so his idea is bogus anyways. Let's spend those millions of dollars on people trying to make a living here already, eh?

Because any American in their right mind would specifically outline racism in their policies?

Look at his speeches, his approaches to implementing the policies, and anecdotes about his behavior.

That's where the accusations of racism stem from.
