Moving into the dialogue between Gaga and the nurse, we hear a variety of noises: the ruffling of bedsheets and fabric, the gentle opening and rifling of the purse, the sound of putting on gloves, the closing of plastic lids and cups, the opening of velcro, all cast against a backdrop of the sound of a film reel running. Throughout the video, there are little snippets spliced in: the scene of Gaga picking up the phone and speaking with her manager, the scene of her dying her hair in the bathtub, and the scene of her stuck on the roof in the Trans-Am, wiggling her way to freedom against soft raindrops. The music video was released in 2011. Revolutionary for its time, we can now see a whole crop of ASMR videos appearing on Youtube over the past year or so. So the question remains.
