Of course, it is not all about the hits, but ARTPOP hadn't any real hits, unfortunately (comparing to other artists). The fan base decreased, so a new success is welcome. Why take that risk? Why not spreading the chances and using former, trusted producers who have proved themselfes by delivering good quality songs ánd the hits? They are creative enough. And yes, music and not the bling, but without the bling, there will be no more music. It still is a business... I kind of agree with you. But why not take a risk. She took a risk with redone and her it paid off. The higher the risk the bigger the payout. She does have a chance to flop but if she succeeds she will exceed all expectations because this is a huge risk.

hELXIG 42,954
I get the feeling you're focussing on her getting the hits! I actually don't have a problem with RedOne at all, even though I'm here for MarkGa. The things that put me off RedOne a teeny tiny bit though are: 1. his production can sound kinda basic in a way that I can't explain (but the exception is songs he makes with Gaga! I guess because she has a lot to do with the production too) and 2. because they don't seem to mesh in the studio any more. He keeps saying that they've tried to work together and it hasn't worked out, that he thinks she's changed, thinks she's too business oriented now etc. And I want her to work with producers who she gets along with and has fun working with! Because I think she makes her best stuff when she's relaxed and having fun; anyone would! I'll be myself until they fūcking close the coffin.

We have had ARTPOP, we need something big now: so, why not also choose someone (like RedOne), who produced the most of her hits.

It seems like you just wanna see our queen succeed but she's in a good place. Trust that she is making those hits and bops..... And thanks for not being so defensive. I give my honest opinion without being rude (like some people on here) and I still get attitudes from people.

I was reading last night that Gaga still earned like $50 Million last year and her net worth is set to rise over $300 MILLION. I think she's going to be okay even if her net album 'flops' :P And if she's at all the same Gaga we al came to love, she wouldn't let her music videos suffer again, or her tour, or a whole era suffer again just because of lack of support. I'll be myself until they fūcking close the coffin.

'Uptown Funk', for example, was not my cup of thea (I hate it), but that's just personal. Can he deliver quality? Um you might want to take a look at his production discography... He's arguably one of the best music producers of the past 20 years.

And yes, music and not the bling, but without the bling, there will be no more music. It still is a business... 'Without the bling there will be no more music' well that simply isn't true unless you think music only exists on the Hot 100. If everything Gaga has said is true then she'll continue to make music whether she's successful or not. Because Gaga is a creative. She obviously has a vision for this album and whatever she did with RedOne is clearly not where she's at creatively. In my opinion you're way too invested in the charts/money/success to understand that. Gaga clearly cares about both things of course, but I don't believe she makes music just for that. Although you could argue that she tried to follow a trend with ARTPOP and make big radio-friendly songs, but that whole album largely seemed like a misstep in terms of her artistry. But that's beside the point. You don't trust her. You think she should stay in the same place and work only with the guy that she first started working with nearly ten years ago. RedOne hasn't had a hit in like... five years. I don't understand why everyone thinks he's the only chance of her having a smash hit again. I'm not against her working with him, I'm just confused as to why you think he's guaranteed to produce hits. He hasn't had a hit with Gaga since 2010. Judas was his last single with her and it majorly underperformed in comparison to her actual hits that era - BTW, TEOG, Y&I - none of which had him involved. In summary, I understand people are fans of RedOne/Gaga songs. I am too. I understand that they were looking forward to hearing him on the new record. But I also applaud her for progressing as an artist and exploring new sounds/producers, and I completely disagree with people that want her to stay in the same box. It makes no sense to me. And Mark has shown way more versatility in his career than RecycleOne has.
GAGAXABO 390
Ronson is perfect! I think we are not ready for the slayage. Gaga's DISCO-FUNK-ANALOG era is upon us (too many hints) and I do believe the storm is coming... I have gone through a process of thirst and am now chillaxing...I TRUST HER!
