Bernie Sander's is mocked for having disheveled hair. Every single male candidate in this election has had their appearance scrutinized. It's not about gender. It's about being a public figure. Yes, those things happen to men however there is a bigger difference. But I'm not going to take my time explaining that... There's plenty of resources online explaining it better than I could. If you don't have the ability to explain why it is sexist to criticizes the clothing/physical appearance of a female politician but it is not sexist to criticizes the clothing/psychical appearance of a male politician feel free to send me a link to any one of the plethora of resources online which you think outline the "big difference." Because men's effectiveness in professional environments aren't undermined by mockery of their appearance. The point of mocking their appearance is to just mock their appearance. There is no sexist undertones. It's men mocking men. It's low. It's like cavemen. It's frat-like. That's all it is though. It's men at the top mocking other men at the top. Hillary's appearance is made political in nature. Apparently her spending money on attire is an issue because she clearly is out of touch with income inequality. There's this insinuation that she has no idea what she's talking about based on her own clothes. Where's the comparison to those mockeries you mentioned? People mock Trump's hair because he looks like a caricature. There is no clear political undertone. People mock Rick Perry for wearing glasses to look smarter. They're implying he's dumb in general. There is no clear political undertone. People mock Sanders disheveled hair. They're comparing him to a crazy old man. There is no clear political undertone. Dig a little and perhaps you can convince yourself that there are undertones. None are overt, but that's irrelevant to you. Ok then. People mock Hillary's attire. They are implying she's out of touch with income inequality, a major platform of hers. There is clear political undertone. Let me know when the various mockeries you presented were ever on the media to the extent that Clintons' has. There's a certain justification in criticizing her for her appearance that you won't find in all the other various ones you listed. Hillary is a woman, a demographic that has a history of being put down for how they look as recent as a few decades ago. When she started there were almost no female politicians in office. She got to where she is through hard work. Yet the day she gets the historic nomination, the media focuses on a random story that implies she knows nothing about policy because she dared wear a piece of clothing that is in fact cheaper than what most male politicians buy. Let me know when you see an equivalent article judging a male politician for what he wore the day he was chosen for a political platform, making an implication that it somehow affects his politics.
