It's all about Politics!!!

 

Grammys are nothing about quality or vocals.

 

Example: 1989 winning over TPAB despite it being more acclaimed (not that 1989 isn't acclaimed either)

Also, controversy hurts A LOT

Vanilla artists/non polarizing ones tend to sweep the most.

 

 

Grammy = Acclaim + success + hype

 

 

What really hurts Demi is her image.

She is seen as a joke in the music industry

(Katy's goofy persona is what's stopping her from a Grammy too)

Why did Beck win over Beyonce? I doubt that he had more hype or success :p Also the reason why Katy (and many other pop artists) don't have grammys is because grammys dislike generic music made by the big producers. Katy doesn't really have a goofy persona btw :p
