I don't mean to be rude, bitchy, sassy, shady, etc by asking so please remain calm Please read this slowly and take your time to actually think about your answers 1. If LG5 flops will you really turn your back on her? Yes or no? 2. Will you really give up on her if she doesn't sell a lot of albums this time, and her music isn't played frequently on the radio? Yes or no? 3. Are you actually just waiting for her next album because you want to see it rise in the charts, and for people to talk about her? Yes or no? 4. Did you only ever love her because she sold a lot of albums, and a lot of other people listened to her as well? Yes or no? And if yes to any of these questions, then why? If no, then why not? 1. No. 2. No. 3. No. 4. No. Even when she was at her most commercially successful, I still felt like she, along with myself, were outcasts. I just relished in the fantasy of the music. In retrospect (I was quite young and innocent) the only reason I was glad she was getting so famous was that people all around the world could share the joy I was living in, and that also she gave more interviews haha. And it's still that way. If I'm being really honest, (and people can bitch and whine about this if they want, it's my honest feeling), if Gaga never climbed the charts again I wouldn't care. It's all about my personal experience with the art and with the record. The charts are filled with such mediocrity that I doubt intelligence will be penetrating it in the next few years. Then again, this is Lady Gaga, and if her new songs do swim up the charts like little sperm then it'll be due to her brilliance and creative genuis. She doesn't care about that, and nor do I. But the only reason I'd ever want her to top the charts is to set the bar again and show these bitches how it's done. If you don't have shadows you're not standing in the light. notconfident 279
Definitely no to all. I never liked her for success, I always liked her for herself. Of course I want the best for her because she deserves it, but keep in mind that success doesn't mean quality, and vice versa.

As long as she's iconic, NO. 3 hours ago, Helxig said: 2. Will you really give up on her if she doesn't sell a lot of albums this time, and her music isn't played frequently on the radio? Yes or no? I will buy the CD and over-listen it. I will be pressed if her music won't be chart-topping and not played everywhere, but I won't give up on her. 3 hours ago, Helxig said: 3. I'm waiting for new music LOL, but I'd be very happy if she rules the charts again and if people talk about her. 3 hours ago, Helxig said: 4. RAMROD 109,273
I was attracted to her because of her music and on stage persona and artistry, her VMA 2009 performance opened my eyes that she is not just another dumb blonde that I used to believe her to be prior, it was never about charts, nor about how motherly, kind hearted, generous, and preachy she is, ever, so I could careless if her album flopped or whatever. So long she deliver with her music, by that I mean all kinds of genres, and keep growing and challenging herself, I am here to stay. It is always exciting to see singers, artists, and bands that I like refuse to be dull and established regardless of how succesful they really are. djBuffoon 12,115
1. If LG5 flops will you really turn your back on her? Yes or no? Hell no. 2. Will you really give up on her if she doesn't sell a lot of albums this time, and her music isn't played frequently on the radio? Yes or no? No. I've been a fan since the beginning and honestly, up until the ARTPOP era, I had zero concept of what albums did and didn't sell well. Those kind of metrics have nothing to do with my personal taste, and they don't interest me at all. 3. Are you actually just waiting for her next album because you want to see it rise in the charts, and for people to talk about her? Yes or no? No. I think she is the most consistently compelling figure in pop music, so I obviously can't wait to see how she evolves, and which directions she goes next. If casual listeners enjoy it, or perhaps they become a new fan through LG5, then that's awesome. 4. Did you only ever love her because she sold a lot of albums, and a lot of other people listened to her as well? Yes or no? Nope. Again, I knew that everyone was talking about her, but that kind of hype means nothing to me if I don't enjoy the actual work.
