You also assume Bernie supporters will support him if he goes independent. No...that is not necessarily true...at all. Many of them are still loyal to the Democratic party, especially since their interests lie with Democratic down-ticket personnel such as their senators.

He cannot run third party. He can support Jill Stein but the deadlines have closed.

Even if he could, and he can't, it would be a colossal idiotic move which splits the liberal vote immensely. This will hand the presidency to Trump.

Also don't quote the Young Turks. They are essentially a Sanders surrogate and are hardly a non-biased source.

The National vote thing is false since that doesn't take into account the 6 million people turned away and the exact number of people who were in Caucuses

Exactly what I told him. and even if none of them reach 270, then the House gets to vote on it where Republicans currently have the majority. Trump wins in both scenarios.

fivethirtyeight has debunked this myth. There is NO way Sanders would have won.

Realistically, if you throw everything together, the math suggests that Sanders doesn’t have much to complain about. If the Democratic nomination were open to as many Democrats as possible — through closed primaries — Clinton would be dominating Sanders. And if the nomination were open to as many voters as possible — through open primaries — she’d still be winning.
