It's because it's Gaga's own personal and private life. We all knew she was raped before Till It Happens to You, and this discussion just seems so old and an invasion of Gaga's privacy.

The speculation is all well and good and all, but whatever you have put together has probably been said before.

You're also bringing upp the music video I'd doubt even most Gaga fans have watched.

I think there's some truth behind the clinic sequence in the MTN video, even if it's referring to a psychiatric ward in oppose to an abortion clinic it most likely relates to the events in which she has so deeply recently spoken out about and the aftermath from it. I feel so bad for her, this woman has struggled more than what we could even imagine. A part of me is surprised she hasn't spoken about the whole situation, whilst another part of me is very unsurprised by the fact she's kept quiet. She's a very polarising and contradictory character at times.

Maybe they settled in court and was dropped or something, maybe she had to sign a NDA? I'm sure in the future Gaga will say more on this topic. She's been revealing alot more since BTW era about the real Stefani not just Gaga the Popstar. I wonder what those scratches on her back were from also? So many unanswered questions and Im sure Gaga knows we'd speculate since she brought it up.

The more enigmatic and amazing her ascension, the better. Because there's the rape and then there's the another infamous, Linda Morgana (yes bringing that up, once again). Can't deny that is a hell of a story. Rumours of rape (this confirmed by her), abortion and something related to the death of another girl. Everything happened

We also know she is known for being smart in exploiting these things and generate buzz around it.

Though i always believed in what the OP states. It can still all be a hyperbolization of something and a bit of fantasizing about things

I agree with your theory and think its the most likely explanation. I never thought of the possibility of her rapist getting her dropped. Very interesting. I hope she explains her full story one day.

It would also explain why she became such a powerful role model for women and femninism. She's always been about taking control and power as a woman.

I agree with the fact that it's probably someone at Def Jam who raped her and there's no way it's Rob Fusari, for the same reasons you mentioned.

For your theory, yes it could be true but like some others I think it's a little sensitive, yes it's a fansite so it's made for theories but something like this is just not sane. I wouldn't like people to talk about me and associate me with these things like this. But I understand what you're trying to say.

For the MTN video, I've always thought she was referring to a suicide attempt (the knife and the gummy bears), then after she talked about the rape I thought maybe she was referring to that too. Maybe she's mixing several episodes of her life in that clinic. Maybe your theory makes sense too. But let's keep it a theory for now, I think it's too "dangerous" to start saying things like this without a proof, we don't know where this could lead. If it's true and one day she's ready to talk about it, let's let her do that.

Am I the only one to believe it is of incredibly bad taste to theorize so publicly about those sorts of things? I mean, I'm pretty sure we all have an idea of what actually happened to her, but I don't really feel the need to know all the details. I mean if she doesn't want us to know for sure, we won't know for sure.

Unless we hear new details from Gaga herself, there's nothing to discuss but rumors, and we really don't need that.
