Economy 49,684
Despite all the meltdowns, I think this will be a net positive for her career... First of all, it shouldnt hold her back time wise by any significant amount. These are covers, no major writting time was/is needed other than small adaptations in music... Secondly i doubt she will tour this time. Given she barely talked about it, its obviously more of a side project than an era Lastly, no doubt she will make a few TV appearances qnd performances to once again reinforce her talant and gain respect, and also get her on the map again since after February she essentially disapeared Record labels arent stupid. Even if promo $$$$$$ wont pay back for the jazz album itself, im sure they will reason that putting her on the map will pay off for when her next material is released!!!! Marina Braxton 71
No matter what we think, he IS a jazz legend. This is such a pivotal thing for her career, for someone like THE BENNETT who is his 80s and sung with the likes of Sinatra to be collaborating with a singer who sung about disco sticks and bluffin muffins. I'm for it tbh and I want them to come back to th royal albert hall, (lets not forget the second night got cancelled coz tony had diarrhoea or something)

August Blue 8,566
I immediately thought about that psychic that said that the new album will be like Adele's 21, will have a no.1 hit and it will be critically acclaimed. Jazz album will come shortly after .. I didnt believe it at first.. Now Tony said it and i believe everything that psychic said
kizurl 1,801
I feel that a Jazz album before LG5 will only destroy whatever hype there is left from the general public for new Lady Gaga material. They'll probably just be like "Oh I haven't seen her in a while. She's going full Jazz now?" and probably won't care so much for future Gaga releases anymore. They appreciated her before Were talking maybe 2 or 3 tv performances and no singles on radio and no doubt any tv promo she does they are gonna ask about her next album since its close... So people will be aware theres another album coming!

A jazz album right before it will just kill the element of surprise honestly. I'm down for it, but it's just not the time right now especially when everyone's anticipating for LG5

I'm down for it, but it's just not the time right now especially when everyone's anticipating for LG5 I think its gonna be too low key for most people to care When she was with Tony, she mostly went to places like the Today Show and Good Morning America with an older Audience. She might do same again. These people arent likely to buy LG5 anyway. But it does help kill criticism from older group of people which trinkles down to other age groups too As for younger people, it will be ppl who actually care about her that will bother to whatch an interview if they see the video on youtube and facebook younger people more neutral about Gaga will probably hardly beware of her jazz release and not pay attention... So for that segment of the general public when they hear LG5 material on radio thats Gagad comeback as far as they are concerned, and hopefully she can earn back some casual fans she lost that moved on. DW promo is always strategic. They think about these things. They are inclined to be strategic because money is involved and Gaga is no small asset to a record label. Jester 6,306
I love when she sings jazz, but... Everyone's expecting new original music from her atm. Also what if it sells less than C2C? Or gains less critical acclaim? The media could use it and start a shitstorm and a mess.
Ronk 14,762
I'm so happy she is doing the 2nd jazz album. It will help her career, especially her image. It reinforces she is truly multitalented and that C2C wasn't an anomaly. I live outside the space time continuum.

CannaeDrive 3,412
GGD's meltdowns are quite irrelevant to what's going to happen with her 2 coming albums. I agree with you as if only for the fact that 2 albums in the same year is awesome and this will consequently reach a larger public. And it probably wint sell as much as C2C cause its probably not going to be as heavily promoted But a jazz album is t expected to sell tones. I doubt media will care much Gaga atm is not huge enough to make big deals out of tiny things
