I think Gaga got caught up in the interesting concepts of fame, but then when she had it realized she's the same girl at the end of the day and when she's hanging out at home the intense aura of fame is relatively non-existent.

EDIT: I know Gaga wasn't shooting for fame- she wanted to create. But I think she thought balancing fame and art would be more interesting, but at the end of the day that form of performance art she was creating ended up being quite empty for her.

I think also that while she may have analyzed how the public and critics respond to fame and how that would affect her, she had no idea of the effect it would have on her team, the people around her.  When she found out the extent that profit and money motivated her team, she felt completely betrayed.  I think that sour-ed her on the industry more than anything else.

Out of likes, but so true.

Lord Temptation

Gaga is simply not talking to the people who trashed her from 2011-2015.

You are no longer a part of her dialogue.

Flopping really destroyed her confidence and passion about pop culture...

So sad.

She really lost it, i just hope her new music is atleast good..

People! What she is saying hear is not different from what JB is saying (no selfie cos am not a zoo animal) the difference is she has a more mature way of handling it, that life is not easy and even if they choose it, it doesn't still make it easy. It's time to moderate that culture or change it entirely if she can, for herself and for younger artists who may follow the path

Nothing inconsistent here. She's always been saying this.

ikr. overly critical fans are trying to prove that she's a walking contradiction, when, in fact, she hasn't changed one bit. :smh:

If you take a look back at Gaga during 2008-2009, you can tell she was actually more human than she is now in the sense that she knew to own fame and look at it from the perspective of an anonymous woman. She knew exactly what she was doing and she wasn't afraid of admitting her desire for attention. She lived the life of an average woman and a celebrity all at once. She had one goal and she did indeed achieve it.

Fast-forward to 2016, it seems, to me, that she kind of lost her proportions in life. Don't get me wrong. Being famous is not normal and I don't blame Gaga for feeling the way she is feeling as it's completely understandable for any person to go insane when his/her privacy is violated. However, I feel like Gaga forgot that she has chosen this life and she is continuing to sell for the commercial market. It's so irrational to even think about changing fame culture that it makes me wonder if she's actually aware of what she's even saying. It's so typical for a celebrity to complain about being famous and even quite boring at times.

I don't like to say this but I feel like she completely lost it. She lost the ability to look at life in a much more intelligent way.

I thought this was about her breast and waist size. "Lose proportions"? I think there's a better way of saying this.

i don't want to argue or fight, i know that your perspective differs from mine. what i was trying to say was that her personality hasn't changed: she's still the same. :nick:

I understood exactly what she meant in that interview. She's more reserved, cautious and tactful than before.

Okay. I would say, it's obvious she became a lot more insecure as a person, but IDK, according to her she was on drugs during the TF/TFM era quite a lot so maybe those gave her an edge that she lost when she stopped using. She is not fearless anymore, and that's a change in personality.

It's all good either way though

That's just Gaga giving herself a pat on the back. An artist can be a celebrity. They are not mutually exclusive terms.
