Exactly! Plus I've heard multiple celebrities say that fame ruined their lives and I'm pretty sure they all WANTED to be famous too.

My dad always told me to never feel bad about changing my mind about how I feel about things. He said that you should never have to keep yourself tied down to what you said a year/5 years/10 years ago.

What Gaga said about fame when she was 20 is obviously going to change when she is 30.

Totally agree with you.  It's impossible for you to say one thing at one point in your life and still hold the same belief 8 or 10 years later in life.  People evolve and mature and as that process takes place, our ideals change, as well.  I don't understand why people on this forum don't comprehend that and say she contradicts herself.  It's called, growing up and changing your outlook on life, people!

I don't care what you think about unless it is about me.

Most people on this site aren't mature enough to comprehend this train of thought, tho. So I completely understand when the usual spew of members have a meltdown over every little thing :laughga:

If you say you aren't a Goddess why the hell do you look like one?

stop denying your legacy, your fame, your fans AND your song lyrics, Gaga.

Embrace your power, honey. And USE IT, K?

People change as they mature and grow up. I don't understand how people don't get that. People in their early 20's usually want to be recognized individually and celebrated by the masses but when people hit their 30's they start to become more team oriented, think about others, and become selfless.

I see it as maturing rather than being pretentious.

Something this fan base needs to learn :wtf:

that would be super fine if lady gaga actually acknowledged that change instead of pretending it was never different from how it's now.

That's true, and yes it's understandably hard for her and many other celebrities/artists. However, when they're getting paid millions upon millions of dollars and are in the top 5% richest people in the world, the shallow side of fame is simply something they have to put up with and something they shouldn't whine about. Money never comes easy (unless you win the lottery).

I have a lot of honest conversations with people, friends and family. And there are no selfies here with me taken, because, i am not famous. However, my stress and happiness of getting my diploma, having a healthy future based on money, things i have in reach etcetera are the most heaviest ones. The guarantee of having enough money the rest of your life, a partner + loving family is something that is the biggest gift you have as a human. I know it doesn't make you happy, but a non-famous life with good relationships with humans like i have, neither. I don't complain about my circumstances, so why is Gaga doing this so many times about her being famous? Famous is something that in her case, is something where she choose for. That i don't have enough money and chances to actually get money, equality, guarantee about a good future is something i didn't choose for.

Luna Lovegood

“I can’t imagine there is someone more famous than you and you’ve been famous now for a long time,” Curtis said. “Is fame isolating for you?”

Gaga answered with a resounding yes. “I don’t think I could think of a single thing that’s more isolating than being famous,” she said.

She told the “Halloween” actress that she had never wanted to be famous in the first place. “It’s almost impossible for people even to probably look at my career and the things I’ve done and think, ‘Oh, she didn’t want [that] — of course she wanted to be famous, of course she wanted all that attention,” the “Applause” singer said. “It’s just, creative expression is what I am and I would’ve been doing this whether I became famous or not … I wanted to get a job being creative and I did.’’

What are your thoughts monsters?
