I didn't like C2C because it felt so scattered and lacking a main vision. I'm hoping that will be remedied by only covering one brilliant man's songs Just praying for that artwork to be bearable this time But yeah, I don't mind if this comes before LG5. I'm hoping they stayed with that theme because Porter is brilliant but I'll believe it when I see it. I also hope it was recorded after c2c sessions and not as part of them so Gaga can apply what she learned touring with Jazz. I want to hear her start developing her own voice and less mimicking of influences.
crisTEAne 21,059
no, i'm also excited. i said this before in another thread: i'd love if they put what is this thing called love on the record. listen to gwyneth's lovely rendition of it: if you hurt taylor swift, i'll hurt you back

This Im interested to hear the instrumentation on their covers, I wonder if Tony managed to persuade her to make it have a more "big band" sound like he apparently originally wanted on C2C 私自身もこの世の中も誰もかれもが, どんなに華やかな人生でも, どんなに悲惨な人生でも, いつかは変貌し, 破壊され、消滅してしまう. すべてがもともとこの世に存在しない一瞬の幻想なのだから

Big band productions, at least like on C2C, can sound over-orchestrated and less improvisational. Now the Count Basie Band and Benny Goodman bands, etc, sounded great. But some reason the large band recordings on C2C to me lack spontaneity.
