Nah, that's not what happened.

They accused her of employing alternative acts who weren't out for commercial success to function in her shows as if they belonged to the same category, Gaga ending up looking better. By inviting them to open for her, they felt like they were being used instead of offered an opportunity.

Not necessarily correct, but they do have a reason to call her a "parasite" (2015) and a "leech" (this comment), no matter much how you may disagree with it.
