This is where one season ago my idols, my heroes, and my inspirations began. This group is called Pentatonix and I am a Pentaholic. Probably the biggest Pentaholic ever. Pentatonix is not only a band. It is the best band in pop or accapella music. It is made up of Kirstin (Kirstie) Maldonado, Scott Hoying, Mitchell (Mitch) Grassi, Avriel (Avi) Kaplan, and Kevin Olusola. The great thing about this band is they only have the five people and they sound like they have a band behind them. This is not only due to the low notes that Avi sings or the beatboxing that Kevin does, but the high notes that Mitch, Kirstie, and Scott can all do. They have a lot of covers on their YouTube channel, PTXofficial, but they also have a lot of originals. They have 3 albums out right now: PTXmas, PTX volume 1, and PTX volume 2. On two of their albums they have originals such as, “Baddest Girl,” “Natural Disaster,” and “Run to You.” Another thing that makes them so great is the fact that they actually interact with a lot of their fans through Instagram, YouTube, Twitter, Tumblr, and Vine. PTXofficial has 162k followers on Instagram as I’m writing this and has grown since the last time I checked. That should show that a lot of people like them and a lot of people keep becoming pentaholics as we speak. Being a full time Pentaholic is amazing in every way because you idolize the best people on this planet who not only sing amazing but have amazing attitudes as well. They have an awesome following that is filled with nice, down to earth people.They aren’t the type of people that would fight over who’s better because they know that given time, Pentatonix will become even more popular than they already are. i’m writing this today to tell you all that you can choose, would you rather idolize cocky, no-good teenagers that’s fan base is people who are just like them, or a band filled with wonderful angels that have saved many lives.
