RedOne created a new sound for pop music in 2008. Why cant he do it again almost a decade later? I think he is smart enough to know that progression is necessary.

I'd like to think so, but I just listened to his latest single and....... I'm not convinced that he does lol

Also you're saying that we aren't trusting Gaga's abilities by saying her work with redone would be the same as her old stuff? I'd argue you aren't trusting Gaga's judgement over music you've never even heard before.

Yeah cause Gaga proved us with ARTPOP that her judgement is awesome.

She overthinks too much, look at The Fame Monster, is just came spontanously in a few months and it's a masterpiece

He has the Star of David on his necklace, but he doesn't look or sound Jewish but what a Jew looks like is mostly stereotype anyway

Hi there, it's been a while since I last posted in here but I guess it's time to get back to work.

I am truly mad that everyone on this site seems to love Mark Ronson and look down at RedOne. I mean, let me state some points:

1. "RedOne is basic and generic, we don't need his sound anymore" --> RedOne has produced massive hits with Gaga, they have built a magic together no one else could have ever built before and all the songs they've worked on together have turned out to be extremely perfect and flawless hits. I think we all agree it is really different when RedOne works with other people, but when it comes to Gaga he clearly knows what to do, and that spark in between them can't be denied (talking about their songs)

2. "RedOne is old-fashioned and would never let Gaga grow and go in a new direction artistically" --> Hey there, are you really saying Gaga has NOT evolved since she first released The Fame back in 2008?. COME ON! Just Dance is totally different to Hair, Judas, Monster, Poker Face or whatever. Gaga has the ability to grow and keep her artistic integrity no matter who she works with. She is the artist, she leads, she can decide to go in a specific direction no matter who the producer is, it's just a matter of HAVING THINGS CLEAR and KNOWING WHAT YOU WANT TO DO. But the thing is that, besides the fact she can "control" the producer, each of them has a specific footprint, a special sound... And I can't really see the point of Mark Ronson's.

So besides these small statements about GodOne, it's obvious everybody has their own opinion and that not everybody can like him but... what's the big deal with Mark Ronson? He has produced a big hit, yeah ("Uptown Funk" an awful, annoying and overrated song I really don't get) but he is actually just the "trendy" producer. He is known for his funky-pop sound and, as I said before, Gaga can choose to go in a different way with him, but, as I have already said, there's something with producers and it's that they have a very own footprint, essence and sound and I don't really get the point with Mark Ronson's. Could someone explain? So overrated...

Yeah, I am mad that RedOne will probably not make it to the final cut of LG5, but it's really upsetting to know that there are probably amazing hits out there that will never see the light just because of Gaga's pigheadedness...

SUMMARY: MARK RONSON IS A REALLY "TRY HARD", DESPERATE OPTION FOR GAGA. SO DISAPPOINTED. He can't make good songs, in my opinion. It's a shame, I doubt he can connect with Gaga as well as RedOne did. I hope to swallow my words eventually, but I am afraid I won't...BoreGa here we come

I just had to express myself ha

THIS. THANK YOU SIS FOR RELIEVING MY PAIN... THANK YOU FOR TRANSLATING MY THOUGHTS

How the hell is he "try hard"?

And why BoreGa? The fact that you can't swallow anything but dance music, doesn't make Mark Ronsan boring.

You, people, should let Gaga do whatever the **** she wants with her album. I repeat, her album. Not yours.

They say it's the last song. They don't know us, you see. It's only the last song if we let it be.

I swear if these 8 songs are scrapped, that's basically a TFM that is going to go unheard.

I'm sorry but is red ones new single some godly masterpiece? No. Was Redone involved on ARTPOP? Nope. All I know is red ones production with other artists wasn't amazing/sounded like a Gaga song.. And what I know is Mark Ronson has had more recent critical success and is more relevant to music critics and the public. Why monsters would turn down a man who has won song of the year and has a single that's better than Gaga's best Redone single is beyond me

Coz uptown funk was a big hit.. Otherwise funk is just as boring as jazz..

lol

You obviously know **** about jazz music.

Not everything you can't shake your ass to is boring.

nothing that he does without Gaga is good. Everyone knows that. But with Gaga he makes Bad Romance. Literally her best song to date. And if she decides to not work with him again, I guess she'll never top it.

You honestly believe that out of the thousands of producers Gaga can have access to, he's the only one she can create magic with?

Y'all need to give her more credit, honestly.

THATS THE POINT. AP was bad bc RedOne wasn't involved. Also, the song he started writing ended up being the best song on the album. Coincidence? I think not! Check my last post above for more explanation on his work w other artists.

Actually if you read his interview he says he hasn't heard art pops gypsy and then she went another direction with it with different producers. So his version of gypsy wasn't even good enough to make ARTPOP, doesn't really help your case.
