"One of them was going to be the single, but then it was cancelled..."

Mark Ronson for first single I see... This basically confirms it.

Am I the only one who feels like nothing newsworthy has taken place at all here today?

This is simply how albums are made. It's how albums have always been made. An established artist, like Gaga (who is responsible for employing hundreds of folks via her record companies, management, tour crew, stylists, etc...) takes their final output very seriously, because the legacy and livelihood of themselves and their team is dependent on it. She is going to work with several producers before finally landing on a final collection of songs for an album. This is how it's ALWAYS been done. The only difference now is that we have the online media to publish and rapidly spread every word (and rough translation) of interviews given by various producers involved along the way.

It's not uncommon at all for artists to work with a variety of producers over the course of several years. It's the creative process, and it should be respected.

MeltdownDaily is clearly just looking for their daily dose of drama. We should all be grateful that Gaga is putting in the time and effort to put out something that she's proud of.

AND CONSIDER THIS... It could easily go the other direction. She may complete her work with Mark Ronson and decide that she wants to keep the 8 RedOne tunes and only include a couple Ronson tunes. WHO KNOWS?! No one in this forum has any insight to predict the outcome.

LG5 era already mimicking the ARTPOP era with its lack of direction and change of musical direction halfway thru.

Stuff like this happens when every song you produce sounds like a lead single material.

I completely agree with you.  People in this forum, as always, are making a mountain out of a molehill.  We don't know for sure if that song RedOne was referring to as the possible lead single is going to be completely scrapped or not.  There's a chance it may still be the lead single or it may not be the lead but still included on LG5.

The bottom line is that we don't know for sure so it's best if we just patiently wait for the lead single and LG5 instead of having silly meltdowns over something we don't know.  I, for one, am really excited to hear the new music whenever Gaga decides to release it.   :excited2:

I don't care what you think about unless it is about me.

Gaga needs a RedOne type song to comeback so people are refreshed with her presence

If she comes back with a random sound it won't go well.

The difference is Bowie was organic about changing it up  He never thought about his legacy as he was building his discography.  He just did what he wanted and whatever fans fell off fell off and whatever fans came on with the next album came on and whoever stayed stayed  If he had thought about what everyone thought and being an inspiration and his legacy in all those early years, he never would have been as fearless as he was.  It never entered his mind he would inspire generations in all those early years,   To say Gags wants to be like Bowie and wants to be an inspiration to generations like him sets her up to fail, if she's trying to make music for that reason,  It's actually an arrogant reason.

Following her muse for herself and what interests her, nothing else, is the only way to soar even if it means risking failure.  If Bowie inspired that mindset, then that's good.

I hope that she doesn't have that mindset. I hope maybe she has a more harmless form of that mindset. All the critical acclaim of Q1 2016 and the death of one of her icons hopefully made her realize "I can do better than a TFM 2.0." I hope she didn't go to Ronson because she wanted to be a "legend" now that I think about.

I think when she began working on LG5 in early 2015, she wanted success. She could smell success again coming off the back of The Oscars and her 6th Grammy, and she put that attitude into her new album. And then some major things happened in her life. She got engaged; one of her icons died; she experienced real artistic credibility for the first time in her career.

Also, if we want to get into astrology, Gaga through this time was and is experiencing "The Return of Saturn", where Saturn returns to the position in the solar system it was when she was born. In Western astrology, this is seen as the period where someone matures into full adulthood and begins to face new challenges. I'm not a huge fan of astrology, but it is kind of funny how this alligns up with Gaga's struggles to make a comeback pop album, her descision to get engaged, and her embrace of organized religion.

I believe that this album will be influenced by the struggle of crossing into adulthood, and that's why she's choosing to go with a more "mature" producer. RedOne is fun, but more than likely his productions remind her of her wild 20's, which is what she's currently leaving behind. RedOne's productions are marked with sledgehammer beats and great hooks that mark great pop music; however, Gaga obviously wants to embrace a more artistic side. I think this theory explains how she's using cigarette and rock symbol emojis lately. The album will be about accepting or rejecting her 30's.

This is just my theory lol sorry for the long tangent

Hands up to the sky 🌧 I’ll be your galaxy 🌌

"We'll see what happen. We tried to recreate the magic together in the studio."

"It is close to what we have done before, with some evolutions. You can tell it's her and me, absolutely "

""Gypsy" is an idea we started together but i was not pleased with the song. We never finished it together. She asked what we could do with this song and i told her that if she wanted to finish it, i'll give it to her. She finished the song with somebody else. I never heard the finished song."

Yeah not at all hyped for RedOne on LG5. I don't want more of the same sound. People around here used to say that Gypsy was evidence that he could change his sound and bring something different from the Euro-Dance sound he has done with the rest of his work but obviously he wasn't that much involved in that song.

Bring me more Ronson. Wouldn't be surprised at all if RedOne was dropped from the album and wouldn't be upset about it.

I'm so pissed and disappointed right now, everything was so close. We should've got a lead single by f--ng REDONE.omg.I almost passed out reading this. I don't know how to feel right now. It's just so depressing. Lead single produced by Redone would make a really big comeback for her. That would shake the world again. Why why why :wtf::giveup::wtf::sick::sick:

if the lead single with Mark Ronson doesn't work out or even flop, her label is gonna force her to release RedOne's track as the next single so don't worry we will still hear them

but only if it's not a surprise album release where RedOne tracks have been taken out

Wait I just realised, this means that regardless of whatever happens with LG5 there will always be the "what if" factor hovering circles around everything (album, singles, tour, etc) :deadbanana: Darn it RedOne :koons: WHYYYYYYYYYY

Yeah, it's already ARTPOP 2.0 and we're not even close to seeing the damn thing released. But I already know that should any of the singles not reach top 10, or the album isn't much successful - the RedOne army be like - oh there you go, you begged for this flop, if she was smart she would've stuck to her guns and release the RedOne songs, etc.

And this will be brought up every single time LG5 low points are discussed. Much like most haters use the "original" ARTPOP was better, even though no one knows what it was like. Here theories and speculation become firm fact in 4-5 months. Been here long enough to observe that.

But still, that's why I prefer not knowing details about the recording process. No one is talking about how Lemonade could've been better, right? We just know these final 12 tracks and you won't see Beyoncé talk "Oh I recorded 60 songs but had to pick only 12". Gaga, on the other hand, Act II mess, now RedOne with his 8 songs... It's annoying cause no matter what fans will always want to hear more material from their fave. Are we supposed to be okay knowing she had an album ready to follow ARTPOP, and now she made basically a TFM-long album that may never see the light of the day.

JUST KEEP QUIET!!! :grr:

ARTPOP

Is anyone bothered by the fact that they had a first single chosen already? It most likely means they have a date already. Which also means the is almost done? So it won't be far away vf3t.gifvf3t.gif
