'Cheek To Cheek' has done wonders to her image, and also during the Q1 2015 & 2016 performances that were heavily focused on her vocal capabilities (National Anthem, Oscars, Tributes). The acclaim she got during that time probably got her thinking if RedOne was the direction she needed to go to if she wanted evolve as an artist. I think she made the right decision here. I think she will include the Redone songs but revamped with the new sound she made with Ronson to make it cohesive with the rest of the new album. Just like what Grimes did with REALiTi. The main structure of the song didn't change very much, but the new touches made the song more cohesive while listening to Art Angels in full. It's like those older people who try and act edgy when they're in their 70s because they miss/ can't let go of their youth. Thankfully Gaga seems to have gotten some sense knocked into her and decided not to go that route.
