Paul McCartney claims to have invented Selfies and Photobombing

Speaking to Jimmy Fallon last night, Macca made the outrageous claim that he was responsible for the two photo trends way back when, in the 1960s.

The Beatles star made the joke when he was shown a photo of himself during his days with the fab four holding a camera, quipping: "Most people don't know that I invented the selfie".

Fallon replied: "It's really taken off."

A second photo saw the Ebony & Ivory singer pulling a silly face behind an oblivious George Harrison who was posing with two fans. This in turn then prompted the rock icon to take credit for the photobombing trend, too.
