Do you think this fanbase is too hard on C2C?

I can't really speak for myself personally because I enjoy jazz so I liked the album a lot. It isn't a traditional Gaga album but it definitely has given us two of her best songs ('Lush Life' & 'Bang, Bang') so I look forward to C2C: Reloaded. With all of this being said, however, it does seem like 95% of people here absolutely despite the record. It doesn't have bops but most of the songs are listenable at the very least. Gaga started out as a pop artist but who is to say she will remain one? What happens when she releases another jazz record? Or tries rock? Perhaps a ballad album? It makes me wonder how some of you will react anytime experimentation happens. It seems like this fanbase will take issue with any album that is NOT straightforward pop music. I don't claim that you have to happily support every endeavor of LG's but at the same time.... why are so many people motivated to keep her in a box? It seems to me that it would be supremely easier to be happy for Gaga (in this case in regards to her side jazz career) and pay attention to why she has strayed away from the genre you so desperately want her back in, in the first place. It's not a coincidence that she has avoided pop at all costs since 2014 and, imo, is still trying to do so while recording LG5. Why not be more supportive? Genuinely supportive, mind you. Opposed to what I normally see. Which, more or less, is people saying "buy C2C on iTunes!!" as they disparage that very record every chance they get.

Not attacking anyone in particular, but noticing this, I must ask: do you think "Little Monsters" should leave JazzGa alone and appreciate it instead of dragging?

C2C was extremely well done there isn't a doubt about that  but I've been a Gaga fan since day one, which means I've been a fan of a pop artist. Jazz is a very far stretch from pop. It was an extremely well done album but it wasn't my taste at the end of the day.

This being said I never bashed it and I thought it was a very wise move on her part. I would like another pop r cord though before another C2C album

I honestly think C2C is one of Gaga's greatest albums. It saved her from quitting music, it revived her from an extremely terrible and dark ARTPOP experience, it was full of heart-renching emotion and personal meaning, it was the best her voice had ever sounded, and it was with a legendary American icon. Oh yeah, it also got her her first Grammy since The Fame Monster, and began a public winning streak, leading towards the Oscars/Grammys performance, public praise, etc. One of the greatest times in her entire career.

Like, holy ****. Like she said on Howard Stern, she sounds like she's as herself during 2013 performing requiem for her lost life. In-****ing-credible. She's putting herself out there, crying, in front of an audience, singing to her best ability about her pain. I wasn't really a Gaga fan until around early-2014, but this was the first time I was blown away. Cheek to Cheek was the first time I really recognized how damn legendary she was.

She also looked gorgeous throughout.

Kevin Parker, Mac Demarco, Mark Ronson, and a stoned Lady Gaga. Need I say more?

I don't see why more people like it. It has some of her best and clearest vocals.

Though, she doesn't have a lot of solo songs. I only downloaded the solo songs because I know I couldn't deal with Tony. I mean, he's good, but I'm not his fan.

If Gaga releases a solo jazz project, I think it'd be better received.

I think everyone liked it, they were just restless for more PopGa and that comes off as hate for JazzGa

I liked her songs, but I'd love it if she made an EP with 7 classic songs written by her. CTC really helped her a lot after ARTPOP in her career, and I appreciate that, but it's not the CD that Iike to play the most. I also appreciate that she showed her vocal power to the world, but fans already knew she is able to sing, and when I started staning her, she was the talented blond girl in the bussiness that was also wearing "weird" but really cool outfits (The Fame outfits will always be my faves). So it was obviously strange for the fanbase that was used to get crazy outfits and huge pop productions to get a jazz classic vocal album. It's not boring if you enjoy Jazz music, but it's kind of boring (the era itself) if the Gaga you fell in love with was the one slaying the mainstream. I loved CTC, don't get me wrong! I like jazz music, soul, and a lot of kinds along with pop. I literally listen to everything but heavy metal and all its variants and dubstep

Because most of the 'fanbase' (if we can call us that) are:

1 - closed to one music genre

2 - their taste sucks

3 - they are here for the bling

C2C is great  :firega:

another shot before we kiss the other side

God2God is what it should have been named.

I love showing this to everyone I meet and they ask who it is and I can proudly say "Gaga" :excited2:

I loved Cheek to Cheek . It was amazing. I was so surprised I liked it, cause I've never really liked Jazz my whole life. I think most GGDers like it too, at least to some extent, but that they just got sick of the era. I mean Gaga's vocals were legendary, who could dislike that? I think they're just hungry for PopGa. But yes, I do think they should drag C2C less. That album did wonders for Gaga's career. It even won her some audiences from the adult and elderly demographic, which is great because that demographic is the one that has money and buys physical albums. And we need those sales for LG5, so yaaaass!

Just a few people on GGD are....which isn't really her fanbase.

Gaga's fanbase is WAY bigger and way more diverse in every way, than the small, rather narrow one on GGD. (Thank goodness!)

It was actually her first Grammy since The Fame Monster. BTW and ARTPOP did not win any.
