Very interesting interview, indeed.  She seems to be a very creative artist.  Somehow, though, I still don't think their collaboration would work.  I could be wrong, though.  The real question here is if Gaga would be willing to collaborate with someone who isn't as well known as, say, Christina Aguilera, Rihanna, Beyoncé, Cher, Elton John or Tony Bennett.

I love Gaga with all my heart, but sometimes I think she can be a little bit selective when it comes to who she collaborates with musically.  Can't say I blame her, though, because if I were as talented as she is I would be extremely selective, too.

I was just pointing out the fact that you put that picture to show a connection between Marina and Gaga but that it isn't real.

the picture is an illustration. the connection i see between them was explained under the pic. i also linked an interview and said that watching it, especially its 2nd part, would explain my intention behind this thread.

Meh. I like Marina but Gaga is too wild for her. She would overshadow her personality and voice.

Yeah, she has a good voice and all.  Like I said in my last post, though, the question here really is if Gaga would actually be willing to collaborate with someone who isn't a household name like the people I mentioned.

With Gaga, though, you never know and she may surprise us one day and collaborate with the people we least expect her to.

i think she is. she said multiple times that helping artists with true talent is always on her agenda. marina may not be on the level of those you mentioned, but she's actually quite an established artist.

I love Gaga and I love Marina but I just wouldn't want them to mesh together tbh, they are both very different. Also, Marina seems to be very much enjoying her "mild" level of fame, and she said she's taking a break from music now anyway

i know and it saddens me, really. but i completely understand her reasons. still, a collab in the future in any form would be nice.

It might be (although I still can't imagine them together at all ), but somehow I don't think she will (or want to) go back to even her present "fame" level in the future, I think that FROOT was the peak of her mainstream success and if she makes more music, it will be more indie (which is completely opposite of Gaga's direction)

I get the feeling that Marina doesn't care for Gaga because of her associations with Terry (and the R. Kelly collab). Plus I remember her saying she didn't want to be like those artists who she sees as "pandering to the LGBT" - I always felt like that was a bit of a indirect criticism of Gaga, who kickstarted the whole movement of pop stars directly acknowledging their LGBT audience and catering to them with empowerment songs and such.  I know she praised her many years ago, but these days I feel like Marina is too self-righteous and committed to social justice to really see past all that and appreciate Gaga as a person, let alone artist.
