Hmmmm, I guess we will have to wait and see. I hope it is not true.

I definitely agree that claims aren't taken as seriously as they should however it's the same for men.  Most don't ever come forward due to fear of embarassment, particularly claims of domestic abuse or rape. Most cases will never even be reported let alone taken seriously. I don't think it's a feminism issue,  it's more of an issue with the entirety of society, men and women, who don't take these claims seriously.

On the flip side, we should also apply the same principle of innocent until proven guilty to both the victim and the accused because that is fair.  An example I've seen is with Kesha, she had support from thousands and Luke was ostracised based solely on her claims however now he has been found innocent the stigma is still there and those thousands are still going to class him as a rapist or abuser. I'm not talking about this case specifically moreso how society perceives such cases.

I also support men's claims being taken more seriously. Anyone who claims abuse should be taken seriously, man or woman. It is an overall human rights issue, but I've actually found that men are more likely to be believed if they claim abuse as the perception is "Why would they emasculate themselves by making this claim if it wasn't true?" But women have this shadow of doubt over them as the idea is that we turn on the waterworks just to get what we want because a grieving woman always gets protected. So, the perception is that we can lie to get our own way. Both sides are gender issues in their own individual ways.

Yes, we can say the accused is innocent until proven guilty too. Luke was never found not guilty of rape, that part has yet to have anything done about it, all the court case has been centred around right now is releasing Kesha from her contract. But the belief that its had something to do with the rape claims all this time is proof that society has this vendetta against women a lot of the time when it comes to abuse claims and is almost determined to paint them as liars. I sometimes wonder if we'll ever find out the truth about Kesha's claims but what is clear is that Luke really hurt her emotionally, that's for sure, and he hurt a lot of other artists too. For that, he's completely guilty. Knowing this is what is making people turn against him more than the unproven rape claims. I'm certainly just judging him based on what I know.
