StrawberryBlond 14,820 Posted May 27, 2016 Share Posted May 27, 2016 I agree. She's made the mistake of over-hyping the last two albums and realises it's time to just let the music speak for itself. I think she's got really inspired after seeing what Beyonce did with her last two albums - just released them with no explanation and the world went crazy over them and the reviews were great. Now, I don't want her to do a surprise release but I would like her to take one cue from Beyonce and that is to not overly hype, let everyone else be the judge. Gaga has made the mistake twice now of giving us the title too early in advance, allowing us to judge it far too fast and her expectations and descriptions she releases also cause too much over-hype. "Album of the decade" talk sets you up for failure because the public don't like that arrogance and pretentiousness. Releasing bits of information months ahead of the release also tones down interest when people get bored of waiting or start to have too high expectations. She can't fail to deliver what's expected if nothing is expected. That's the one thing I like about these surprise releases. She could also be shooting a music video for every song, like more and more artists are doing now. That could be a big explanation for why she's been so quiet - she's just so busy. And I agree she should hold out till we hear it for ourselves but I want promo to begin already! That's a sign that something is coming. And ya people are waiting for her, a lot of the GP love hits and all she needs is to do is serve a few and bam! She has a great album (according to the GP).
