I don't pander to the gay community, but release a gay album. Kii. Mess. Cackle.

I think that was why I stopped stanning for her during that time period, but AP actually brought back my interest and Fashion! is such a bop.

The statement was made in 2009 or 2008 though. Don't you think there's a possibility of her changing her mind in between?

Even so, The Fame was the album she was promoting at that time. I think she meant it as in she loves her gay fans are supports gay rights, but her music is for everyone and not just targeted at gay people.

Even Born This Way was for everyone, just like how Til It Happens To You is not only for rape victims.

Btw she didn't really shade Katy Perry, she just avoided the question probably because she didn't like that song or something. One thing that I can say in Perry's defense is that, I Kissed A Girl wasn't targeted at gays either, it's a sexual experience of Katy Perry that's it.

Before you mistake me as a Perry hater, please go to the other thread and read how I defended Perry.

Is this really necessary? The receipts in that thread were obviously fake and meant to be funny.

I also stan for Madge who was genuine and actually cares for the gays/minority/woman, I just felt she was just using the minorities during BTW, so I didn't like it.

"actually cares"? :laughga: it's funny to me when people say that someone cares about something more than the other, especially when talking about celebrities.

did you get inside of Madonna's soul or test her on a lie detector to clarify such information?

and if anything Gaga's "using" the gay minorities never did her any good. a lot of the casual listeners were alienated from her during Born This Way era. she couldn't possibly get any profit from that, nor could her brand/label/whatever.

if she really went full on "using" someone, she would have released a cheesy a-la Katy Perry-esque basic song with little to no meaning that masses would have eaten up very quickly.

Whispering

The examples listed do nothing but show how Gaga has tried to be focused on music and art first and ignore the rest throughout her career. They show that she has been hurt sometimes and has struck back a handful of times over the last eight years.

Some artists are genuinely mean natured, but that's not Gaga and never has been.

Fifthly, about the fans thing: Katy was right. :neyde:

funnily enough, a member posted this: :laughga:

Who cares omg they're both hypocritical pop artists who ignore the comments they've made weeks before. I didn't make this thread to defend Katy, I made this thread 'cause I thought it was ridiculous that she was criticized in such a dramatic, exaggerated way when there are plenty of examples to find in Gaga's camp too.

Just an example about the fans:

"I would die for my fans" (2012)

vs.

"I didn't get into this business to take selfies with strangers" (2016)

I think Katy was right about the fans (in that instant, I don't care what she really thinks) because artists who act like they know their fans well enough to label them and treat them like they're family are embarrassing to me. Just my personal opinion.

Off course. I just find it funny how the video included BTW at the end of the interview, which made me post kii.

I'm sorry, but I don't see anything about Fame. To me, it's about fame, partying and having fun. Kind of modern day She's So Unusual.

If Gaga can change her thoughts, I can change my thoughts too right? I mean, I did say in another post, that I actually love BTW down the road.

Even if that's true, that just exposes her as a hypocrite then :rip: Madonna most definitely supported Gaga until 2012, until she felt like Gaga was copying her (and even in that same interview she said Gaga wasn't copying her act, just the song). So that's the same as Gaga calling out Miley and Katy for copying her then, no? :emma:

If there's nothing wrong with Gaga's comments, then there was nothing wrong about Madonna either.

She didn't shade Madonna though, she was expressing her disappointment of how Madonna disliked her as a younger artist.

"If I were an established artist, I would help young artists out."

I don't remember Gaga calling out Miley, when was that? About Katy, yeah the mechanical horse tweet was rude. Never said it was okay.

Receipts? I like always see the same 2 photos featuring the carousel dress and the half-man/half-woman outfit for Katy but that's about it.

Oh please :rip::rip::rip: And even if that were true, that is a rotten filthy lie 'cause Madonna was extremely nice and supportive towards her before 2012. They invited each other to private parties, they collaborated on SNL, Gaga met her personally and met her daughter, they both complimented each other constantly.

If all that suddenly means nothing to her anymore 'cause Madonna felt like one song was a rip-off (and even then Madonna kept expressing how that wasn't a big deal, she said on her own tour she loved Gaga and hoped she could get her to perform on tour with her) then Gaga is the hypocrite, not her.

The next question of the interview was: "So do you think Madonna has no soul?" and Gaga answered: "You said it, not me." Shade.

It's in the OP tho lol. She called her out for stealing the Dope teeth, even though Miley was referencing southern American culture, not drug addiction. Plus, there's the not-really-shady but still surprisingly hypocritical comment during the Andy Cohen interview where Gaga first defended Miley for her infamous VMA performance and then said people needed to stop twerking.

just because you can't relate to something, it doesn't mean it's embarrassing. i said it in my original thread: the sad part is that people criticize gagz for her BTW attitude and genuine love for her fans and simply ignore the fact that countless lives were saved. young, insecure, lost individuals live because of her. including me. just my personal opinion.

Madonna was advocating all of those things before it was cool or hip, so I don't need to get into her head to know she's honest about it. She basically risk her career to show that women are free to do anything they want and be just as sexual as men and shouldn't be ashamed of.

I'm sure she must be crying over the millions of dollars from BTW album and tour.

Katy's song has no meaning yet cancer patients use it and I remember a little girl was saying how Roar inspired her to keep fighting even after everything was destroyed in a fire.

The real answer: Way too many interviews tbh. Too much stress. No comments on the tweets.

Dont ask for justice or to make others understand or whatever, its not a general celebrities forum

Helping out your fans is different from making questionable statements about them. I have absolutely no criticism about her humanitarian work, but that's not what I'm referring to, neither was Katy.

Our own fav consistently (well..) spoke out against her fanbase spreading negativity toward other artists. You might wanna ask yourself the question if it's maybe time that this fanbase started to take her seriously :chica:

But I'm the bad fan :chica: Ofc.
