I think I have the exact opposite feeling. At first spin I bopped through the whole album, but after a few spins I had the feeling that the album really focusses on current (shortlived) trends. So much so that I think that I'm gonna get sick of this music really fast and that it will sounds super dated in a few years.

It is pretty basic

but since there's no other music coming out I'll listen to it

Cause once you let it go you better know it's gone

Anyone else feeling that the album is actually underwhelming for a follow-up to a strong debut Reflection? :wtf:

They've lost the charm, the personality and f*cking sold out with the sophomore. And how come the best songs are on the deluxe or the japanese release? :saladga: :emma:

It's very trendy, sounds basic and filler, barely any stand outs. I wish they had worked more and not rush it. But I'm inclined to believe it's not up to them how they sound when they put out records... Which is so sad cause they are talented. But in 2 years this thing will sound so dated. It's like these chill EDM tunes that are in by DJs dominating the radio. :wtf: And somewhat similar to Justin Bieber's sounds.

My biggest dissapointment is All in my head. Just when I thought it will reach climax - I wanna feel you under my body, and bam the song goes in a completely different direction with this Fleeeex. WTF?

That's My Girl is the best song, hands down. Work from Home is ok. Then it's all a repetition of the same basic formula with silly singing (for their abilities) and stupid lyrics. This is the life, seriously? :flop:

The best are the slower songs - Write on me, Squeeze and No Way. Big Bad Wolf and 1000 Hands are better than all songs apart from the 4 I mentioned.

So, in a nutshell, a messy rushed album, lacking appeal, a downgrade from their debut, and not doing their talent any justice.

Sorry I disagree but appreciate your opinion

If anything Reflection was a mediocre debut and a rushed one

-You can barely hear Lauren in Reflection, I think she was on two songs only lol.

-Even though Camila is still dominant in this new album, it's not as annoying as her voice in reflection. I feel the producers made it so that her voice stands out and now in 7/27 they're blending their voices more and actually harmonizing.

-Reflection was basically a Singles album, after BOSS, Sledgehammer and Worth It, they practically had nothing to follow up with. Too many fillers.

-You talk about things sounding outdated, yet We Found Love by Rih is still being played. We always assume these EDM sounds will die out or that we'll get bored of them but at tours and clubs they are essentially the highlights. Also at least this time they got their EDM hits right not like that horrible This Is How We Roll track, I mean that song's climax is way worse than Flex (which I don't feel was the best choice for second single).

-This album has a distinct sound I feel, it has a Caribbean tribal twist on electronic dance music. It's like the summer album the general public has been needing since Teenage Dream tbh. Where every song is tailor made to be played at a beach party. Reflection sadly had no reflection in my opinion, also the album cover was messy hehe.

Why is every song so basic? I feel like the album doesn't have any personality or theme to it. Just a bunch of random songs really. They aren't bad, but I don't like music that doesn't have artistic expression. It feels.....empty. Sorry :neyde:

I don't really like singing groups....so I guess that is part of the reason I don't like them.

Edit: Now I know why they lack personality, literally not one song on the entire album is written by any of the singers. They are just singers. It's fine if other people like that, but I just take the concept of music and artistry more seriously.

Lion Heart

Currently listening to their album. I think the only song I hated was that song with Fetty Wap so far.

Lion Heart

Big Bad Wolf should have been on the standard version tbh
