Did Gaga pioneer the blue/pink aesthetic?

I think Gaga utilized a lot of elements that prior to her embodiment of them were considered outdated and garish but with her unique focus and interpretation on those elements via the cultural platform she had ended up influencing just about every artist working in or adjacent to pop music

There's nothing harder for people to do than admit they were fooled.

Call me delusional but I think everyone just rips off Gaga to appear artistic even when they don't know jack-**** about what they are doing. Sure she may appear pretentious to some and her art maybe is beyond the comprehension of some idiot who think Firework is a lyrical masterpiece. But at least pretension requires some sort of thinking and yass Gaga thinks - contrary to what these plastic pop idols pretends to do via their ghost social media writers. DJWS aptly puts it in his interview

Nah, just basic color theory. That's why in stage shows lights are so often found in this same color set up. Just look at pictures from any pop show and you'll start to notice it.

I am sure after LG5 there's gonna be a plethora of artists who're gonna accidently pick-up her sound and their fan bases will post a YouTube link of a decade old obscure song as a defence. Follow the trendsetting queen lessors :diane:

LEL obviously not, take a look back, music videos from the 80s, even TEOG taking inspiration from that decade. :D

They always do that!

So sick of the revisionists saying "Oh no Gaga didn't write 'Born This Way', it goes back to Ancient Greece when Socrates declared that the Athenians were never meant to be ruled by the Spartans..." bla bla bla

They always say the same thing, that everything's already been done before. They hate the now and glorify the past. I'm like "bitch, we already know pop culture recycles itself, stop trying to give us history lessons and tell us what you know about art and society"
