I have never in my life seen people hate Madonna for literally JUST singing a tribute for one of her friends. It's not like she stripped, gyrated across the floor, and simulated sex with a Prince hologram. It was a tame Madonna performance. It's an interesting topic, but if we really want to talk about it, we should probably look at what may have influenced Madonna to say these things back then (trends in the 90s) and compare it to what she's saying now -- and without thinly-veiled flamebait, everyone.
