I probably haven't given that much attention to Lemonade or I just can't stop thinking "Is this another marketing strategy thing that they do to sell records ? Did Beyoncé play the cheated wife just to have a theme for this album?, If Jay Z cheated on her, why does she need 14 co-writers on one song to express what she feels?" I don't know. Beyoncé has become this big brand that they want the world to see her as royalty, that sometimes it turns me off to even pay attention to what she does. SirLudicopro 1,351 Posted May 22, 2016 Share Posted May 22, 2016 You can't just ask me what's my favorite child BEYONCÉ has so many killer songs (Ghost/Haunted, Blue and Blow being my favorites) that never get old to me, but LEMONADE feels amazingly cohesive while exploring so many different genres of music (my faves being All Night, 6 Inch and Don't Hurt Yourself). ItsTommyBitch 12,640 Posted May 22, 2016 Share Posted May 22, 2016 Lemonade as a fully fleshed out concept and album I'll still watch the video when I listen to it tbh, the only songs I can really divorce from that are Sorry, All Night, Love Drought and Sandcastles. Beyonce for the individual tracks. It's boppier and maybe more musically appealing to me. Songs like Daddy Lessons do nothing for me sonically. Deleted4234 388 Posted May 22, 2016 Share Posted May 22, 2016 Yellow Drank easily. It's a more consistent album. Its lows are much shallower than her self titled and It's highs are greater imo. Not to mention it's the strongest message I've heard from a Beyonce album. It's (the message) incorporated seamlessly into the music while maintaining balance with the album's musical flow and genre experimentation. Best album to come out in a while.
