Trump: Hillary Backs Gun Control Therefore She Doesn’t Deserve Armed Guards

A day after Donald Trump told people at the National Rifle Association that Hillary Clinton would strip away their right to bear arms, the Republican seemed to suggest on social media that his opponent, who he thinks totes a hard line on gun control, should disarm her Secret Service team.

Asked what Trump meant by his statement on social media, campaign spokeswoman Hope Hicks said, “the tweets speak for themselves.” While accepting an NRA endorsement Friday at the group’s annual convention, Trump turned his attention to Clinton’s stance on guns, claiming that the Democratic front-runner wants to “abolish the Second Amendment.”

Trump went on to say that Clinton, if elected, would release violent criminals from prison into an unarmed and vulnerable society.

I'm shocked he's not stealing Bernie's critisism of her on guns because Bernie pretty much said at a debate she was trying to end guns in America while talking about the liability thing.

Right because a former First Lady to a president, a former Senator, a former Secretary of State, and a presidential candidate does not operate under a significantly higher risk than most people

How does what he's saying even correlate to what Hillary stands for?

He's saving Bernie's criticisms for when the Democrat contest is over.

Then he'll start using the ammunition that Sanders provided for his own gain to try to win over Sanders supporters.

Well thats what I mean. It's a completely different situation so it's hard to compare but I agree with the sentiment that if she's allowed to protect herself then we as us citizens should be allowed the same right.

I think it's more like government-affiliated personnel need protection an array of dangers regular citizens are not exposed to but you do have a point.

I stand with the majority of Americans. I want tighter laws on guns but I still want the right to own a firearm should I ever get one...which is likely considering my surroundings and ammo-sexual father haha.

Wanting gun control =/= wanting to confiscate every firearm in the country.

In a debate? I don't remember Bernie saying this. I thought Bernie thought in a more logical way than Trump did.

Here in Canada we have strict gun laws. The majority of the population isnt allowed to own one

 

But people can be licensed to own them for proffesional reasons such as if you are a police or a security guard etc

 

You can also obtain licenses for guns for hunting purposes only

 

So what Trump is saying is stupid. No Country that I know of bans guns all together and that isnt what Hilary suggested. Were talking control only

A lot of americans believe homes will be robbed and people will be mugged if guns were taken under control. Having guns restricted to professional or hunting environments is not good enough for a lot of people. They want the freedom to have a gun to protect themselves.
