I think she does to an extent, but I think that was just for Born This Way for the most part. She took on a role that meshed well with the album's concept. She wanted to liberate and inspire the listener, like her mother supported her as she sang in the lyrics of "Born This Way."

Stop kidding yourselves Little Flopsters. That whole "Little Monsters"/"I am Mother Monster"/"I would die for my fans" shtick is dead. DEAD.

Gaga is a grown woman now. She's moved on. We'll get a "xoxo i love my little monsters xoxo" tweet every 10 months in between bible verses and updates about her horse & this year's turnip crop but that's about it

I think she still considers herself as "Mother Monster", but most likely in a different context now, She's grown and evolved, and so have we, but that doesn't necessarily mean that she isn't "Mother Monster". People change and that's okay, she'll forever be our Queen.
