I want it gone anyway. It just doesn't work now, when her fans aren't what they used to be/what she wanted them to be anymore.

Nothing wrong with loving your fans but adopting them is a little unnecessary.

I think words like "mother, mom, mommy, mama" etc. are kind of tainted now by internet culture... Maybe she feels that way too.

Also her youth has kind of gone a little bit. And I feel like the mother monster name was a fun, youthful, endearing nickname that maybe she feels she's grown out of. I remember her saying once that we're not her "little monsters" any more, just "monsters" because we've all grown up together or something.

I think its just not the same anymore as it used to be. So no. But that cant be so bad, right ? I'd rather have this journey with her for whats to come in the future without being so fixated on the past.

She's grown up and so have we. She was one of the first to really label her fans and now everyone does it I don't think it's as special or meaningful. Not that it ever really was to me, I've never understand the 'deep connection'with her fans that she always speaks of.

It was a clever move to label herself and her fans, the media could easily pick and build it up and it helped her establish her superstar status. But she has grown since then and tried to rebrand herself after ARTPOP, so I guess she's really over the whole monster thing and wants to get rid of it rather sooner than later.
